.WWE 13: last update
To anyone that has followed my universe I wanted to fill you in on what my final card and storylines were. This truly was a great game, not only from the creators, but I also felt like I enjoyed the yearlong universe I put on. If you read the last post you will know that I ended it with a little over a week until WrestleMania, but due to my recent move, and the giant drain (in a great way) of game time that is GTAV, I haven’t had time to really play or update. With WWE 2K14 releasing this week I decided to skip to WM and play out the matches I spent the year building towards. Since I did skip updates for the week, I will fill any important story items I was planning to include that last week before the big event. Also I for the most part I plan on continuing my universe in WWE 2K14, so I am hoping that with this post all the storylines can be resolved in a way that lets them flow into 14 when I start that (I’m still working my way through WM mode). Anyway here goes!
Match 1: Joker Vs Raven:
Brutal hardcore match that left both men bloody. Ended after a burning table was set up on the outside, with Raven on the apron and Joker crashed into Raven sending him through the table. The worst part was Raven was bumped at an angle which caused him to turn and go chest first through the table. EMTs came out to check on Raven but Joker chased them away with a chair, then threw Raven back in the ring and hit the Cradle DDT for the win.
Match 2: Money INC (Jinder Mahal and Ted Dibiase) Vs Team Funky (Godfather and Brotus Clay) for Tag titles.
This was a pretty standard tag match. In the end, David Ortunga interfered and allowed Money INC to win the tag titles.
Match 3: Attitude Era Undertaker vs Kane in an inferno match
Kane seemly had this match won, but when Mankind tried to help him, it backfired and taker was able to throw Kane into the fire, winning the match.
Match 4: Trish Vs Aj LEE for the Divas title
Aj wins by count out in a very good Divas match except for the ending.
Match 5: Ryback vs Sheamus for the US title
Back and forth battle between two of the strongest men in the WWE. Each man took each other’s finisher only to kick out. The ending came when Sheamus went for the brogue kick and Ryback dodge it, and hit the meat hook clothesline. Ryback then hit the shellshock and it was all over.
Match 6: Team 3D vs ICP
This was a great tag match (a lot better than the first tag match), it ended when team 3D was able to hit the 3D on violent J through a table for the 3 count. This feud has gone on for months; hopefully this was the last match.
Match 7: Edge and Christian vs The New Age Outlaws
These two teams are very competitive with each other, neither team looking weaker than the other. Toward the end Billy was setting up Edge for the Famassour, but before he could connect with it Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett appeared at the top of the ramp distracting Billy. This allowed Edge to regroup and quickly catch Billy with a schoolboy pin for the win.
Match 8: Mark Henry vs Chris Jericho
Good match, not great but decent. The end came when Henry caught Jericho coming off the top rope and was able to turn it into the World’s Strongest Slam for the win. After the match Henry threw Jericho into the corner and hit a big time splash. As Jericho slumped down in the corner, Henry yelled, “That’s what I do!”
Match 9 Fatal 5-way: Kurt Angle vs Cactus Jack vs Sabu vs RVD vs Taz
This match was as brutal as it was fast paced. All five men gave it 100% making it the match of the night at this point in the card. In the end Taz had RVD locked in the Tazmission on the ground only for Angle to run up and grab Taz’s foot for the ankle lock. Taz ended up tapping out about a second before RVD started tapping, giving Angle the win.
Match 10: Bret Hart vs JBL
After JBL’s personal insults toward Smackdown’s GM Stephanie, Bret interfered on her behalf. On the last Smackdown before WM, JBL and Money INC brutally attacked Bret before Team Funky made the save. In the Match tonight Bret had things going his way, locking in the Sharpshooter. With that, David Ortunga jumped on the apron distracting the ref while JBL started tapping out. Bret let go of the hold and grabbed David and pulled him into the ring, and proceeded to throw him into a corner and land about 4 hits. When Bret turned around to get back to work on JBL, JBL was ready and connected with a Clothesline from Hell that was so brutal it will surely be a in future WM video packages. Bret had to be helped to the back after being pinned. No news about a possible injury. However as Bret was being helped back, Triple H’s music hit and he came out and started brawling with JBL, hitting him with the pedigree as payback for JBL’s insults to his wife.
Match 11: Triple H vs Daniel Bryan
On Raw these two teamed up to take on the shield in a losing effort (thanks to Dean Ambrose interfering). In the match tonight, Triple H had Bryan set up for the Pedigree, however Bryan was able to twist out of it, locking Triple H in the YES lock. As fans chanted “YES” Triple H finally tapped out. On his way to the back Triple H was attacked by Money INC, only for Bryan to come to his aid. After dispatching of Money INC, Triple H and Bryan shook hands.
Match 12: Chris Jericho vs The Rock for the Attitude IC title
This match started out very even between the two, however as the match went on The Rock started to get the best of Jericho. This started a trend that saw Jericho trying to save his title by trying to get himself counted out and disqualified. Rock was able to prevent both of those from happening, and even set Jericho up, as Jericho went for a chairshot on Rock as he was leaned against the ropes, Rock dogged the chair, which bounced off the ropes and smacked Jericho right in the face. Jericho stumbled backwards turning around into a Rock Bottom for the win and new champion The Rock.
Match 13: John Cena vs Steiner for the BGPW TV title
Tough match for Cena, he was able to overcome most of Steiner’s offense and even landed an F-U. But before he could get the pin, Aries and Roodes came out to ringside distracting Cena, while behind him Hunter threw Steiner the TV title, which he slammed into the back of Cena’s head. One Steiner bomb later, and Steiner is the new TV champ.
Match 14: Kofi Kingston © vs Dolph Ziggler for the WHC
The best way to describe this match would be fast paced and crisp as both men were evenly matched. Fans were split between both men, and toward the end of the match seemed to be on Ziggler’s side more and more as Kofi started showing more heel characteristics. In the end Kofi hit Dolph with the SOS, but still used tights to keep Ziggler’s shoulders down for the 3 count.
Match 15: Brock Lesnar vs Mike Tyson
For a non-wrestler, Tyson really put the work in for this match. Lesnar was able to wrestle Tyson and over power him, however Tyson layed into Lesnar with several hard punches. At one point Tyson hit Lesnar right between the eyes and Lesnar fell flat. Paul Heyman saw this coming and before the hit connected, appeared to faint at ringside distracting the ref. Tyson had Lesnar pinned for well over the 3 count, but by the time the ref started counting Lesnar was able to get a shoulder up. After that Lesnar was able to get Tyson into the F-5 ending the match.
Match 16: Hall of Pain vs APA for the tag titles.
This was a slow, hard hitting tag match. In the end, Ron was able to hit Vader with a chairshot behind the ref’s back that allowed Bradshaw to get the pin and the tag titles.
Match 17: Horsemen Vs the Hardys for the BGPW tag titles.
Although it may be surprising, Aries and Roode won the titles cleanly capitalizing on Jeff’s missed swanton.
Match 18: not a match, but a backstage brawl between Pillman and Shamrock, the WWE’s resident hot heads.
Match 19: Undertaker vs Logan Phoenix © Intercontinental Title match
(from a personal side of this match, this is the match I have wanted to do since I first started this game last year, and from day one of universe I planned for my CAW to take on taker. Also this was one of my favorite matches’ gameplay wise I had the entire year I played this game. I had this match set to epic, and it was 29 minute match.)
Epic is not the word to describe this match. After the weeks of saying that he was the most under rater wrestler on the roster and that at WM he would prove it, Phoenix may have done just that. At the same time The Undertaker was not about to let Phoenix get away with all the cheap shots and attacks, let alone the fact that Phoenix cost him his match against the Rock for the WWE title. These two men stayed with each other the entire match. Undertaker survived Phoenix hitting him with an elbow drop from the top rope through the announcer’s table. Likewise later in the match Phoenix was able to kick out after Taker chokeslammed him off the top rope. Taker locked in the Hell’s gate submission hold but Phoenix was able to make it to the ropes, while at one point Phoenix was able to hit the nervous fear (payday) but taker was able to kick out. Before the match Phoenix told Trish not to interfere, this match was something he had to do, and to everyone’s surprise she listened, until the end that is. The final moments of the match saw Phoenix attempt a cross body of the top rope only for Taker to catch him, and then set him up for the tombstone. This caused Trish to ignore Phoenix’s earlier direction and jump on the apron. Phoenix however was able to reverse it and looked to hit Taker with a tombstone of his own, only this time Taker was able to push himself back over Phoenix’s shoulder and push him into the ropes. Phoenix crashed hard into Trish causing Trish to go flying into the guardrail and Phoenix to be knocked right back into Taker’s grasp who was able to hit the tombstone this time for the win and the IC title! As Undertaker celebrated with the IC title in the ring Trish and Phoenix had to hold each other up for support on the way back. At the top of the ramp Phoenix turned to look at the Undertaker, and with blood pouring from a (most likely) broken nose mouthed the words, “I hate you” at Undertaker.
Match 20: the NWO vs DX
For weeks these two teams had been taking whatever shots they could at each other and this was finally the match to try and settle it. This match saw the NWO work over HBK a lot of the match. Late in the match X-pac was able to make the tag and started going to work on Nash, but Nash’s size advantage proved too much. Triple H made it in and cleaned house followed by HBK. The legal men in the ring at the time were Hogan and HBK, but on the outside of the ring Hall and Triple H brawled alongside X-Pac and Nash. In the ring HBK was setting in the corner stomping his foot signaling he was planning to hit Hogan with SCM, while Nash on the outside threw X-Pac into Triple H. Right as HBK started to lounge forward to kick Hogan Nash grabbed HBK’s head from the apron and pulled down causing HBK to slam hard into the mat. Nash then quickly got in the ring and hit the powerbomb on HBK, which Hogan followed up with the leg drop to score the win for the NWO.
Match 21: Hunter vs Eddie © for the BGPW title
Back and forth match with a lot of reversals. The ending saw Eddie missing the frog splash which Hunter used to his advantage and hit the pedigree allowing him to regain the BGPW title cleanly. The other horseman came out to the ring to celebrate and all 4 men held their titles high as fans boo’ed .
Match 22: CM Punk vs Stone Cold Steve Austin © for the WWE Attitude Title
The Raw is War before WM Vince promised a revolutionary WM. This was of course after forcing CM Punk into a 2 on 1 handicap match against Owen and Jarrett. In the end of that match after a few minutes of Punk getting beat down, Austin came out to make the save, throwing Owen and Jarrett out of the ring before having a beer bash, which ended with Punk getting the stunner. This led to Vince walking out and again giving Austin simple nod, while Austin acted confused in the ring.
Before the match starts Vince walks done and gets on commentary. This match was a wide range of styles. There was brawling, solid mat work and high spots. Austin and Punk went from the ring, through the crowd, the entrance ramp, and ended back in the ring. The amazing thing is the pace for this match never let up, and the crowd was red hot for this match. The best way to describe this match would be the best parts of each man’s prior matches combined for this one. While on commentary Vince was clearly favoring Austin UNTIL out of nowhere Austin hits Punk with the stunner. Austin covers Punk for a 1, 2… but before the 3 count Vince throws Punks foot on the bottom rope breaking the count. Austin jumps out of the ring to attack Vince but Owen manages to save Vince. Still Austin lands a few good shots and throws Owen over the fan rail. Jarrett comes from behind and nails Austin with a chair shot. In the ring Punk is starting to use the ropes to stand up when the Big Show gets in the ring and grabs Punk by the neck and lifts him up for the choke slam. As Big Show is walking Punk around in the air, Jarrett rolls Austin in the ring. Big Show walks over to the corner and sets Punk down on the top rope. Punk gets a big smile on his face and looks over to Vince who has a big smile as well. Owen is in the ring and drags Austin into the middle, and Punks hits the elbow drop from the top rope onto Austin. 1, 2, KICK OUT! Austin is out of it but somehow, someway was able to kick out. Punk has a look of shock and anger on his face. Punk then lifts Austin up for the GTS, hits it and is able to get the pin, becoming the new Attitude Champion. After Vinces puts the belt around Punks waist Big Show brings in a cooler of beer and everyone grabs a beer and act like they are going to have a beer bash. However they all walk over to Austin and pour the beer all over him as Punk holds his belt high about his head.
Match 23: The Rock © vs John Cena for the WWE title match.
Sadly this match just couldn’t keep up compared to the last match. Not to say it was a bad match, but both men seemed to be playing it safe making for a slow match. The end came when Cena was able to get out of a Rock Bottom and hit the AA, then he locked in the STF. Rock was in the middle of the ring and in obvious pain. With his arms outstretched in a vain attempt to reach the ropes, Rock start to look as if he was about to tap, shaking his hand faster and faster. Just when it looked like the Rock’s hand was about to slam down on the mat, the lights went out. There was a lot of sound coming from in the ring, sounding like someone was getting attacked. After a minute or two the lights came back on with Cena laid out in the middle of the ring and the members of the shield surrounding the ring. The Rock was smiling as he walked over the Cena and began the People’s elbow taunt, in which he threw is elbow pad on Cena, before executing the move. A 3 count latter and still WWE champion The Rock
WWE 2K14
I have to start by saying that when I played through the universe mode on WWE 13, it was easily the most fun I have had with a universe style mode in a wrestling game. My plan was (if anyone had followed my WWE 13 universe) was to continue the universe in this game, but due the roster of WWE 2K14 I decided to mostly start over with the exception of a few storylines. I have it set up with 4 brands, Raw, Attitude, WCW, and BGPW (Battle Ground Pro Wrestling, which is similar to 90’s ECW only not as extreme). PPV’s are shared events between Attitude and BGPW, and the next Sunday its Raw and WCW and both PPV’s will mostly likely share the same theme. I just finished the Raw and WCW Extreme Rules PPV so now all four brands are heading toward the King of the Ring PPVs. Each brand will represent one side of each bracket from their PPVs. Also last year instead of WCW I had Smackdown as a brand. I was building toward a WCW brand, but for this game the storyline is Smackdown has just been rebranded to WCW.
Each brand is separate from the other, but all fall under the WWE. Think of it like the brand extension around 2002-2007, where there is no interaction between brands, minus a few spots at PPVs. Each brand has its own GM as well. Stephanie runs RAW, Vince handles Attitude, Heyman covers BGPW, and as of now I don’t have a named GM in charge of WCW. It was going to be Flair, but I plan on using retro Flair as an active wrestler on that brand.
Speaking of that, if there are two versions of the same character I treat them as two different wrestlers based on that particular gimmick. I also try to never have them in a match or on the same brand. An example would be Razor Ramon and Scott Hall. In my universe they are not the same person, but I won’t have them wrestle each other, or for the most part be on the same brand. Another example would be Jericho as I use his past between both gimmicks. What I mean by that is current Jericho still shares the same history of retro Jericho, but only to the point that universe was started. This sounds confusing, but hopefully if you stay with this, it won’t be much of an issue.
I also plan on having a “Dirt Sheet” section after each week’s shows and PPVs. This will act like a backstage news and notes on the universe from the perspective of a wrestling website.
Here are some of the past storylines that carried over:
Raw:
Logan Phoenix (an original CAW I have) and his storyline of being underrated climaxing in WrestleMania match against the Undertaker. This was a storyline that I built for a year in WWE 13. Phoenix was the IC champion heading into WM and at the Elimination Chamber PPV cost Taker a WWE title match against the Rock goading Taker in the WM match. After a great match Taker was able to put away Phoenix and take the IC title. One change to this storyline however is that in 13’ Phoenix had Trish Stratus as his manager, for this year’s game I switched it to AJ Lee.
The Rock is still the WWE champ as a Hollywood Heel Rock type role (think WM19). At Wrestlemania he came within seconds of tapping out to Cena until the lights went out. A sound of a fight was heard and when the lights came on the Shield were surrounding the ringside with Cena laid out in the middle of the ring. Rock was able to hit the People’s Elbow for the win.
At WM Triple H and JBL started a feud over comments JBL said about Stephanie. Triple H attacked JBL after JBL’s match with Bret Hart, in which Bret is still out with a concussion after JBL’s CFH. After the fight was broken up Triple H fought Daniel Bryan to end their feud, in which Bryan made the game tap out.
Attitude:
The biggest storyline to flow over is at WM CM Punk shocked the world by aligning himself with Vince, Big Show, Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart to form the Corporation 2.0. That happened at WM which allowed Punk to win the Attitude Title from Steve Austin.
Rock and Jericho were in a feud over Jericho’s IC title. At WM Jericho was able to get a win after a chair shot.
New Age Outlaws are feuding with Hart and Jarrett.
WCW
Kofi Kingston is still the WCW champion. In last year’s game it was the WHC from Smackdown. Kofi hinted at turning heel after defeating Ziggler at the Elimination Chamber PPV and fully turned at WM when he hit Ziggler with an SOS but used his tights to keep Ziggler’s shoulders down.
Ryback is still the US champ after defeating a monster heel Sheamus at WM
BGPW
There is 4 horsemen faction that consist of Hunter Hearse Helmsley, Scott Steiner, Bobby Roode, and Austin Aries. On the first night of BGPW in 13’ RVD was about to be announced as the first champion but Hunter interrupted the proceedings. He then challenged RVD for a match that the winner would be the first BGPW champion, while at the same time letting everyone know that he was better than BGPW (much like the Hunter gimmick was in 96’). During the match Hunter tried to use a chair to which RVD answered with a Vandaminator. RVD then went to the top to hit the frog splash but on the way down hunter was able to throw the chair into RVD, which caused him to crash into the mat. After a pedigree Hunter was the new BGPW champ. That kicked of a 10 month undefeated streak for hunter. However at the Royal Rumble PPV Kurt Angle had Hunter in the ankle lock and Hunter was about to submit. Steiner ran to the ring and broke up the hold (no DQ match). After a double team Hunter was able to retain the title. The next week they added Aries and Roode to the team to make, in Hunter’s words, a REAL 4 horseman. At the Elimination Chamber PPV the Horsemen were able to add the tag titles to the group with Aries and Roode defeating the Hardys for the belt. However all was not well as later in the chamber match Eddie surprised the universe as a surprise entrant and ended up taking the title. WM however was a big even as the Horsemen were able to retain the tag titles, Steiner defeated Cena for the TV title, and Hunter was able to take the title back as well.
Ok so now I since I’m on the first Raw past the second of my 2 extreme rules PPV I will start with the updates for the major story lines I have going. After that I will start doing the match results for each show as I play them.
Raw:
The biggest story on Raw was the aftermath of WM with The Rock and John Cena. Cena felt that after being screwed at Mania, he deserved another match. However Daniel Bryan disagreed and put himself in the title picture, saying he was tired of being overlooked. This led to Cena and Bryan in a tag match against the shield in a losing effort. The next week Raw GM Stephanie setting up a rematch for Cena and the Rock in a non-title match. Cena once again had the match going his way after catching the Rock coming off the top rope and turning it into an AA. But before he could get the 3 count the shield attacked. After a triple powerbomb through a table Bryan made his way out and was able to single handedly take the shield down leaving the Rock to run up the ramp with his title. All this culminated at Extreme Rules as Cena took on the Shield in a gauntlet match. Cena’s first opponent was Seth Rollins who he was able to put away after an AA. The next opponent was Dean Ambrose who gave Cena a lot of hard hitting moves. Cena was able to dodge a knee attack which leads to a comeback from Cena. However as Cena raised Ambrose up for an AA, Ambrose was able to hit a headlock driver for a surprise win! Rollins and Reigns entered and help up Ambrose’s arms in victory.
In a WWE title match contested under extreme rules, The Rock took on Daniel Bryan. This match had the audience on the edge of their seat or standing for most of the match. Bryan slammed Rock on a ladder; Rock was able to reverse the high knee into a back body drop throw a table. The ending came as the Rock was able to lock in the YES lock on Bryan as the audience was loudly shouting NO! Bryan was able to make it to the ropes, and as he got up he was able to catch Rock with a chair shot followed by a top rope head butt. However as the men got to their feet Rock was able to hit a Rock Bottom on top the ladder laying in the ring. He went for the pin, but in a very controversial call, Bryan was able to kick out, though the ref’s hand hit the mat for a third time. As both men struggled to their feet exchanging punches, the Rock was able to hit a few more, and threw Bryan into the ropes, but on the way back Bryan ducked under a clothesline from the Rock and was able to hit the High knee for the win!
After a few weeks of running into each other’s matches, JBL and Triple H decided to settle their feud in a cage match. This cage match was as brutal as they come and in the end JBL was able to hit 3 CFH in the match. The last 2 CFH were back to back and after the second on, Triple H was out cold allowing JBL to easily climb out of the cage. Triple H struggled to make it to the back. Stephanie tried to help him but for the most part he crawled back indicating he was hurt.
Logan Phoenix was enraged with his loss on the Raw after Mania and fired Trish Stratus of her services. Later that night in a match with Cody Rhodes, Phoenix came out with AJ Lee by his side. For weeks he goaded the Undertaker into a match at extreme rules. The 2nd Raw of the month Phoenix was seen talking to Zach Ryder. Phoenix reminded him of how when he first arrived at the WWE he attacked Ryder because he felt Ryder was over rated. In fact he was able to beat Ryder for is Internet title. He then told Ryder that in the year since Ryder hasn’t done anything and now people were starting to say he was never anything to begin with, but Phoenix says he sees him as under rated now. He asks Ryder if he remembers what he did with the Internet title, and Ryder replies, “you threw it in the trash.” Phoenix looks over to AJ who then reveals that the title has been behind her Divas title. Phoenix hands it over to Ryder and tells him he is thinking of doing something; think about what he has said. The Raw before Extreme Rules Ziggler took on Damien Sandow and lost. On his way to the back Phoenix appeared behind him. Phoenix began to talk to him about how just 2 months ago he was the WHC, but was screwed out of the title by Kofi, who cheated to retain the title at WM, and is now the WCW champ while Ziggler is losing on Raw. Phoenix tells him to look at the next match on Raw, Phoenix is taking on Big E Langston, Ziggler’s tag partner for the number 1 contender for the IC title, if anything Ziggler should have that spot. Phoenix tells him that now that he is a former champ, people are writing him off. Phoenix walks off and tells Ziggler to think about what he has said. At the Extreme Rules PPV, in an extreme rules match Phoenix was able to defeat the Undertaker with a Nervous Fear (payday) on a chair, regaining his title.
Attitude:
Punk spent the month hiding behind the Corporation and ducking Austin. However he could at the rematch at Extreme Rules. In an extreme rules match Austin seemed outnumbered with Vince as the special ref and the big show as the time keeper. With that said, the match was brutal and Punk proved that though he was helped winning the title, he could keep up with Austin. The ending saw Punk trying to hit Austin with a chair (handed to him by Big Show) but before he could land the hit Austin hit a low blow. Austin went for a stunner but Punk was able to push Austin into the ropes and when Austin came back, Punk lifted him up for a GTS. Austin was able to slide out of it and go for the stunner again, but this time after the kick to the mid-section, as Austin grabbed Punks head, Punk turned the move into a reverse school boy, grabbed the ropes for leverage, and Vince made the quick 3 count. After the bell Austin went after both Vince and Punk but was stopped by big show. As big show went for the chokeslam Austin was able to kick out of it and hit the stunner. As Punk and Vince watched from the top of the ramp, Austin attack Show with several chair shots.
Tag team Champs HBK and Diesel have started a feud with Macho Man Randy Savage. The night after WM Savage let it be known his intentions of taking on WWE champ Punk, and later in the match he took on Diesel in a one on one match. Savage was on the verge of a big win against the 7 footer, until HBK pushed Savage off the top rope behind the refs back. Diesel was then able to hit the jackknife for the win. Later in the night HBK took on new comer Razor Ramon in a back and forth contest. Toward the end of their match Savage ran down the ramp and attacked Diesel, distracting HBK. Ramon took advantage of this to hit the Razor’s Edge for the win. The next week on Attitude Ramon took on Diesel only to fall victim to a two on one attack as HBK hit the ring as Ramon was signaling for the Razor’s Edge. Then later in the night Savage was in a match for the IC title against Jericho, just as the ref‘s had was about to hit the mat for the third time to award Savage the title, HBK and Diesel hit the ring and attacked Savage. The double team ended with a jackknife on a ladder. The week before Extreme Rules it was announced that Savage and Razor would receive a tag title shot in a TLC match at the PPV. At the PPV Savage and Razor came close to winning the titles, but just as Savage was close to grabbing the titles, Diesel was able to hit a jackknife that sent Savage through a table. Razor came in with a 2nd ladder and crashed it into Diesel’s face, then set the ladder up next to the original ladder. As he climbed to the top HBK was able to get up the first ladder and as Razor grabbed the titles, HBK connected with Sweet Chin Music from the next ladder over causing Razor to crash to the mat and allow HBK to grab the titles for the win.
IC champ Chris Jericho took on number one contender Kane at Extreme Rules in a table match. For weeks Jericho promised to prove he was a giant slayer and send Kane crashing through a table. At the PPV however, with a table set up in the middle of the ring, Jericho went to the top rope in hopes to catch Kane with a high risk maneuver. Kane was able to catch Jericho with a chokeslam that sent Jericho through the table for the win and the IC title!
At Extreme Rules the NAO tried to settle the score with Hart and Jarret in an elimination tag match. The last two men were Billy Gunn and Owen Hart. Billy went for the fameasser but Owen moved out of the way and was able to hit a running spinning heel kick for the win.
WCW:
The night after WrestleMania WCW was formed from Smackdown, with all the Smackdown champs becoming WCW champs.
Since Kofi was able to retain the WHC title at WM, he was crowned WCW champ on the first show. Just as he holds up the title and the fans start to boo, a lout whooo is heard from the ramp. Out comes (Retro) Ric Flair to a loud pop from the fans. Flair is granted a title shot at Extreme Rules the next week after forcing Kofi to tap out to the figure four in a non-title match. The week the two men square off again with the winner getting the right to pick the stipulation for the PPV match. Kofi was able to hit a Trouble in Paradise out of nowhere for the win. He declared at Extreme Rules he would defend the title in a TLC match. While most fans were eager to see Flair, a man whose name is tied to the legacy of the WCW title, win the title, most were afraid he wouldn’t be able to keep up with Kofi in the match. This match stole the show at Extreme Rules. Flair not only hung in there but he pushed Kofi to the limit. Some of the bigger spots of the match include Kofi hitting the S.O.S through the announcers table, Flair suplexing Kofi through a table, Flair sandwiching Kofi in a ladder than beating the ladder with a chair, and Kofi hitting a drop kick from the top of a ladder that send flair flying out of the ring. In total Flair received 4 Trouble in Paradises in this match. The end came when flair tipped the ladder over as Kofi was reaching for the title. Flair picked up Kofi but Kofi hit the TIP for the 4 time in the match. Flair fell into the corner, and Kofi wasted no time in setting him up for a superplex. However once he set Flair up he noticed a table set up at ringside, adjusted his stance, and suplexed Flair off the top rope through the table on the outside of the ring. While Kofi was slow to make it back in the ring and up the ladder, Flair never moved. Kofi was able to grab his belt to win the match. Flair was stretchered to the back while fans booed Kofi.
During the past month US champ Ryback has been challenged multiple times by Mr. Perfect Curt Henning. The first WCW show saw Perfect take on the Ultimate Warrior to be the #1 contender for Ryback’ s title. In that match Perfect was able to use an exposed turnbuckle for a win. Over the next two weeks Perfect and Ryback exchanged non-title victories leading to a falls count anywhere match at the PPV. With Ryback down at the end of the match, Perfect laid a ladder across 2 chairs making a makeshift “ladder-table” with the intent of slamming Ryback through with the perfectplex. However as Perfect started to set up the plex and lifted Ryback’s leg, Ryback forcefully slammed his foot down and lifted Perfect into the shellshock, and crashed through the table-ladder. After that, the 3 count was easy.
Sheamus, for some reason or another, decided to make Hulk Hogan his target this month. After costing Hogan a match against Wade Barrett, Sheamus would receive a taste of his own medicine when Hogan would distract Sheamus, costing him a match against DDP. To settle the score the two met in a cage match at Extreme Rules. In a match with a very “old school” vibe, Hogan was able to Hulk Up and hit two leg drops for the win. Afterwards while celebrating in the ring, Hogan made a gesture that he wanted a title shot.
The Real Americans have been in a tag battle with Sting and Lex. After several weeks of trading victories in non-title matches, the Real Americans defended their titles at Extreme Rules. In a standard match, Sting managed to get the pin on Swagger, thus winning the tag titles for his team.
Scott Hall and Kevin Nash made their surprise appearance on the first episode of WCW, proclaiming to be here to take what’s theirs. Latter in the night, the two was seen backstage attacking Goldberg. This led to a Goldberg-Hall match the next week. The match lasted about 45 seconds until Nash jumped in the ring causing the DQ. An irate Goldberg challenged Hall and Nash to a handicap match at Extreme Rules, to which they agreed. At ER Goldberg came close to defeating both men, however after giving Hall a Jackhammer, Nash was able to dodge a spear and hit a Jackknife for the win.
BGPW:
This brand hasn’t received the love from it the other 3 have. I plan on fully fleshing it out soon though.
BGPW champ and leader of the horsemen, Triple H continued his feud with Eddie leading to a match at Extreme Rules in a Last man standing match. As expected toward the end of the match the other horsemen started to interfere, beating down Eddie. Eddie somehow was able to dodge Steiner’s chair shot that cracked Triple H in the head. Aries and Roode tried to hit Eddie with a double clothesline but Eddie ducked cause the team for fall to the outside. Out of nowhere Cena slide in the ring and hit Steiner with the FU, giving Eddie room to get to the top rope and hit Triple H with the Frog Splash. A 10 count latter and we have a new Champ again!
Earlier in the night Steiner defended the TV title against Matt Hardy who a few weeks earlier was able to get a pin on Steiner. Steiner spent the match taking apart Hardy, until the end when Hardy was able to hit some high risk moves and some close pin attempts. The difference changer though was when Hardy ran right into a stiff clothesline from Steiner. Steiner quickly locked on the Steiner-recliner for the win.

While a lot of people expected to see Phoenix regain the IC title, that wasn’t the plan going into ER. The plan was for Undertaker to keep the belt before dropping it to someone else, most likely Big E Langston. Creative however felt that Phoenix is the most hated guy on the entire WWE roster right now, so putting the belt on him would make more of an impact when a babyface beats him for the title.
Expect Big E’s push to continue as in the back he is considered as having a big future. The shield, Fandango, and Cody Rhodes are expected to be pushed as well. John Cena losing to Ambrose in the 2ndout of 3 matches in the gauntlet match was considered a nice way to give Ambrose and the Shield a rub.
A big surprise has been hinted at as far as the Triple H/JBL story goes
Attitude:
Word is a rookie is expected to join the roster this week or next week.
Randy Savage’s frequent mentions of a match with CM Punk are deliberate and are being used to get the fans excited for that match. It is penciled in for SummerSlam at the moment. It is not known if it will be for the title or not.
As of now a Stone Cold/Big Show match is expected to take place soon. While Austin will continue with his feud against the corporation, he isn’t expected to be fighting Punk anytime soon. Taker is scheduled to be Punk’s next opponent.
WCW:
Backstage after the Raw/WCW Extreme Rules, Ric Flair was considered the MVP. Many people were worried he wouldn’t be able to stay on Kofi’s level since Flair is more of a mat wrestler, but he proved everyone wrong. Plans before the PPV had Flair leaving with the title, but that was changed at the last minute due to the feeling backstage that Kofi would suffer from it more than Flair would gain. Right now the thought on Kofi is that he is just starting too been seen as a true main eventer, and dropping the title now could ruin all his momentum. That being said, officials are pleased with his run so far, and Kofi also was given a lot of praise for the TLC match as well.
A cruiserweight champ is expected to be crowned this week as well. Plans had the match happening at the PPV but due to time reasons it was cut.
A Giant/Ryback US title feud is being discussed. Officials are also thinking of keeping the feud with Mr. Perfect going do to the reaction and performance from both Ryback and Perfect.
A twisted ankle is the reason for the tag title changing hands. Cesaro twisted his ankle at a house show last week and was not cleared to wrestle at the PPV. Sting and Lex were going to lose at the PPV only to win it on WCW this week, but with the injury the dates were moved around. This also explains why Swagger never tagged Cesaro into the match.
The Goldberg/Outsider angle will keep going as well. As of now none of the 3 men are planned for the King of the Ring tournament either. This may turn into a tag match with Goldberg finding a partner to take on the Outsiders.
BGPW:
The reason for Eddie winning the title back is the feeling that after having the belt for 10 months, then regaining it, Hunter runs the risk of getting stale. Eddie is expected to have a nice run with the belt while the horsemen face off against new challengers.
Overall:
Between the RAW/WCW king of the ring, and the Attitude/BGPW KofR, the company plans of teasing a few feuds. The company also plans on have a few heel vs heel and face vs face matches.
A few more legends might be making their way to the rosters. More than likely they will be special appearances.
The reception to the 2 Extreme Rules were very positive. It was said to be hectic backstage before the WCW/RAW PPV due to the changes, but everyone was pleased with the matches.
OK here is the first show:
RAW:
Match one: Phoenix (with AJ) vs Big E Langston (non-title)
Hard hitting back and forth match. Toward the end AJ started to get more involved by distracting the ref or other heel manager tactics. Ziggler comes out in support of Big E and runs AJ up the ramp. This distracts Phoenix enough for Big E to lift him up for the Big End. Phoenix was able to slide out and push Big, who ran right into a super kick from Ziggler causing the DQ. This led to Ziggler and Phoenix shaking hands! Cena comes running out to help Big E and challenges Ziggler to a match. Out comes Steph and says that she doesn’t know what Phoenix and Ziggler are up to, but now Cena vs Ziggler is happening and Phoenix is band from ringside.
Match two: Ziggler vs Cena
This match goes back and forth until Ziggler sets up Cena on the top turnbuckle. Cena is somehow able to reverse the move into an AA from the top rope. Cena starts to climb down the ropes to go for the pin, when out of the crowd Zach Ryder jumps in the ring and hits a rough ryder on Cena!
Afterwards Phoenix comes back out and grabs the mic. “I spent a year telling everyone that would listen that I was tired of being underrated. You know what I found out? These two guys felt the same way”. Ziggler grabs the mic, “I’m the man, who defeated Kofi for the WHC, then I pinned Bret Hart cleanly, in the elimination chamber match I pinned 4 guys! Then once Kofi screwed me out of the title that night and at mania, I was pushed back to the bottom of the card? I am sick of being over looked!”
Ryder takes the mic next. “I year ago I was one of the guys people said had a bright future. You fans would watch my youtube show, thought it was great that I made my own Internet title, and would cheer with me every time I said whoo, whoo, whoo. Then I lose to Phoenix and no one cares. I have to beg to get onto Raw. Stephanie didn’t even let me wrestle on the Raw that was in my hometown. Well screw this, Phoenix, AJ and Ziggler, I’m with you. Whoo…Whoo…whoo.”
Phoenix knuckle bumps and grabs the mic, “I’ve beaten everyone thrown my way, then I lost at mania and all people could say was, see told you Phoenix sucks. Well last night I proved mania was a fluke, and now with these men and the best diva in the WWE, we will prove to you all that we are more than you give us credit for. In fact, you can just call us Underrated, but we won’t ever be under rated again.”
Match 3: Jericho vs Fandango
Fandango wins the match in a surprisingly quick manner
Match 4: The Shield vs the Rhodes brothers
This match set the pace for future tag matches. Thanks to Dean Ambrose pulling Cody Rhodes off the apron behind the refs back, golddust was distracted long enough for Rollins to hit the Sethwalker for the win.
The Rock charges into Stephanie’s Room and demands a rematch with Bryan. The Rock tells Stephanie to look at the tape and see how he had Bryan pinned for a 3 count. Stephanie says that the Rock will have to wait for KotR for a rematch, to which the Rock tells steph to get her head out of Triple H’s ass for 5 mins and do what is right. Angered Stephanie makes a non-title match for later in the evening.
Match 5: JBL vs Triple H
Triple H tried to come out to the ring but Stephanie stopped him. She told him that she knows he wants to get in the ring, but at this point that would be too risky. He has a concussion and is in no shape to fight. Triple H starts to protest as JBL in the ring laughs, but Step stops him. She then says don’t worry, JBL still has a match tonight. Out comes Batista to a huge ovation! JBL, who was still banged up from the night before, runs to attack Batista as he gets in the ring. After a few right hands that send JBL across the ring, JBL runs back into a spinebuster. A Batista bomb later and that’s it for this match.
Match 6: Prime Time Players vs the Wyatt Family
Really good tag team match. PTP pick up the win here
Match 7: The Rock vs WWE champ Daniel Bryan
The match never gets started as right after the bell rings the ref is knocked down by a flying high knee that Bryan missed. Rock goes for a Rock bottom but Bryan reverses it into a yes lock. As the rock starts tapping (no ref yet) Brock Lesnar makes his return to Raw and breaks up the Yes lock. The beast then F-5s Bryan into the mat. As the Rock goes to get up, Lesnar gives him an F-5 as well. Lesnar then holds up Bryan’s WWE title as the show goes off the air.
Attitude:
Attitude starts off with CM Punk in the ring and Vince and the rest of corporation behind him. Punk comments on once again defeating the “red neck beer drinker”. Punk states that in the last year he has went through all the big names on the brand, won the Royal Rumble and now sits on top of the mountain with his WWE title. He hands the mic to Vince who states that speaking of Austin, tonight he will pay for his chair attacks on Big Show in a one on one match.
Attitude/ECW King of the Ring PPV:
Match 1: Last Man standing Austin Vs Lesnar
During an Austin/Big Show match the night after Extreme Rules, new comer Brock Lesnar attacked Austin to the point of Austin being busted open. Over the next few weeks both men would engage in a set of vicious brawls, to the point that Vince set up a Last man standing match at King of the Ring. While fans cheered for this, Vince then dropped a bomb, He would be the guest Ref! At KofR the match played out just as hardcore and impactful as fan expected. Also as expected Vince played a heavy hand in the outcome. Just as Austin a seemingly gotten the upper hand on the young rookie, Vince refused to count past 8 while Lesnar was down. This led to Austin confronting the boss, which turned into chasing him around the ring. As Vince and Austin slid into the ring Austin was met with a huge clothesline from Lesnar that dropped him hard. Next Lesnar hit the F-5, which led to a fast count from Vince giving the win to Lesnar.
After that match Paul Heyman comes out to boos. He says as the GM of the newly branded ECW (formally BGPW) he was refusing to send any of his wrestlers to the tournament. He said that at ECW, they do things differently, that his wrestlers did not need a throne. More importantly Vince would not allow the tournament to be contested under extreme rules. So sit back and (try to) enjoy the attitudes KotR matches, but he guaranteed the ECW matches were going to be what you remembered for years to come.
Match two: ECW Tag Titles the Horsemen Austin and Rhoode Vs ICP
Up until this point, ICP had mostly been a team that people laughed at due to their music and lack of any major wins. After WM and their loss to team 3D, people began to notice a change. The team seemed to finally be clicking, and after several big wins, including over the tag champs themselves, ICP was ready for their first title shot. The match was a mixture of brawling and hardcore wrestling. After several close calls fans started to firmly get behind ICP. Toward the end of the match momentum was fully on ICP’s side. Violent J was able to connect with a DVD on Aries, allowing Shaggy to jump off the top rope with a swanton, but Rhoode was able to pull Aries out of the way at the last second. With Shaggy down J was able to fend off both Horesmen for a few minutes until finally falling to a super kick/brain buster combo. The Horsemen picked up the win and retained the titles.
Match three: Fatal 4-way for the Attitude IC title Kane Vs Diesel Vs Razor Ramon Vs Randy Savage
Though Diesel was the only heel in the match, fans were firmly behind Savage. This was a hectic match full of near falls and hard hits. Toward the end of the match Razor had Savage set up for the Razor’s edge, but savage was able to turn it into a back body drop, dropping Razor over the top rope. Kane who had just chokeslammed Diesel turned around to a flying forearm from Savage. Savage then followed up with a scoop slam and climbed the turnbuckle. As he jumped for the elbow drop, Diesel was able to catch him with a shot to the mid-section on the way down. Diesel was then quick to hit a jackknife powerbomb on Savage and get the pin, a second before Razor could stop the count. The Fans booed as Diesel held up his new IC title.
Match 4: Attitude Tag Titles Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett Vs Edge and Christian
This match seemed to going toward Edge and Christian winning the titles for the most part. Toward the end Edge was able to hit the spear on Owen but turned around to receive the stroke form Jarrett. Christian then tried to hit the killswitch on Jarrett, but Jarrett was able reverse it, slamming Christian down to the mat and lock in the figure four for the win.
Match 5: ECW TV TITLE Scott Steiner Vs Sabu
The only way to think of this match is a car crash because that is what it was. Sabu threw his body at Steiner in every way he could. Steiner threw Sabu in every way he could. Sabu’s miss of a moonsault cost him, as Steiner was able to catch him and hit the Steiner screwdriver for the win.
Match 6: Attitude Championship title CM Punk Vs Taker
This match last less than 5 minutes due to Punk attacking Taker as he was getting off his motorcycle. Punk slammed taker into the bike then the steel steps before rolling Taker into the ring. After that Taker received a GTS and was pinned. Fans chanted “this is bulls**t” as Punk walked backstage.
Match 6: ECW Heavyweight Title Eddie Vs Angle Vs Foley
In this match Eddie put in the high flying moves, Angle added the high pace moves, while Foley added the hard hitting moves. After months of feuding it finally seemed like Foley was going to get the upper hand in his feud with Angle and win the title all at once. Foley had Angle set up on a table and was able to deliver a double arm DDT that sent both men crashing through the table to the mat. Foley dazed himself with that move and before he could cover an unconscious Angle, Eddie came out of nowhere to hit a frog splash off the top rope on both men, scoring the pin.
King of the Ring tournament:
HBK managed to pull of what some would consider an upset and win the King of the Ring, and he did it without any help from tag partner Diesel. In his first match HBK was able to avoid a Vader bomb and catch Vader with a roll up to win the match. In his 2nd match HBK ducked the famasser from Billy Gunn to deliver SCM for the win. In the third and final match HBK took on Jericho. During the course of his match earlier in the night with Big Show, Jericho seemed to firmly gain the fans on his side, and the fans stayed with him during the course of his match with HBK as well. Jericho tried to set up the Walls of Jericho, however HBK was able to push him off. Jericho responded by landing a thunderous DDT on HBK. Jericho then went for the lionsault, however HBK was able to move causing Jericho to crash on the mat. As he stumbled to his feet, HBK was able to land SCM and fall on top of Jericho for the pin. Afterward new IC champ Diesel came out and the two celebrated their respective victories.
Raw/WCW King of the Ring
16 men from Raw competed against each other and the same with WCW on those last episodes of Raw and Nitro. At the King of the Ring PPV, the Raw and Nitro winners will compete for the title of King of the Ring.
Highlights from Raw include Phoenix sneaking a win over Jericho with a school boy in the first match advance. Batista squashing Titus O’neil in less than 2 minutes surprised a lot of people and also once again hinted at a heel turn due to Triple H distracting O’neil before the bell rang. Big E and dean ambrose were also able to advance thanks to wins over Fandango and Christian respectively.
In the second round Phoenix met Ambrose in a wild brawl that could have gone either way. In the end, Phoenix was able to reverse Ambrose’s finisher into his own for the win. In the Big E Vs Batista match halfway through the match, Triple H again made his way out to the ring. However this time JBL attacked him from behind distracting Batista. Triple H was able to get the upper hand, but not before Big E was able to make a comeback and finish Batista with the big end.
In the finale match of the Raw Tournament Phoenix took on Big E in a match that had everyone on their feet. Big e was able to land several big powerful moves, while Phoenix was able to hit the faster more traditional moves. In the end Big E was able to make a comeback and after hitting a big splash made it known he was going for the Big End. However when he went to lift Phoenix off the mat, Phoenix was able to reverse into a small package for a close 2 count. Big E quickly went for an Irish whip, but Phoenix was able to turn that into an eat defeat. As Big E slowly rose to his feet, Phoenix, who was clinging to the ropes to stay up, was able to muster the energy to run over and hit the Nervous Fear for the win. Raw went off the air with the rest of Under Rated (Miz, Ziggler, and Ryder) in the ring holding up Phoenix in the ring.
On the WCW side of the tournament, first round highlights included Cesaro squashing Sting in a very quick match after hitting a European uppercut out of nowhere. Sheamus was able to defeat Mark Henry in a very physical match with a brogue kick. In the most technical match of the tournament, Bret Hart was able to get the pin over ADR. After a match full of near falls and submissions, ADR was set up in the corner signaling for a kick to Hart’s head while Bret was on his knees. However once ADR went for the kick Bret was able to duck and catch ADR with a roll up for the pin. Ryback Vs Mr Perfect was just as entertaining as their previous matches. Just when it looked like Perfect was going to avenge his loss at the previous months PPV Ryback was able to hit a devastating clothesline and shellshock for the win.
In the second round Cesaro defeated Sheamus in a match that had everyone on their feet cheering when it was over. Fans were chanting “this is awesome” at several parts of the match. Bret Hart came close to pinning Ryback on several occasions but a well-placed clothesline was all it took for Ryback to turn the match around. A shellshock later and Ryback advanced.
In the final match of the WCW side US Champ Ryback took on Cesaro. Late in the match Cesaro was able to hit the big guy with 15 rotations with the big swing. Cesaro then readied himself and when Ryback got back to his feet, Cesaro jumped off the middle rope to hit an uppercut, but Ryback was able to catch him and throw him into the shellshock. The roof nearly came off the building when to everyone surprise Cesaro was able to kick out of the pin! Ryback went for a clothesline but Cesaro lifted Ryback in the air and on the way down, Cesaro was able to hit him with an uppercut. Cesaro quickly hit Ryback with the neutralizer for the win in the upset victory. As WCW went off the air, fans were reminded to turn in to the King of the Ring PPV Sunday night to see who would be the King of the Ring, Phoenix or Cesaro?
Raw/WCW King of the Ring PPV
Match 1: Raw Tag Titles The Shield Vs Cody Rhodes and Goldust.
This match was a fast moving, hard hitting match. In the end, after Goldust took out Ambrose and Reigns with splash off the top rope to the outside, Cody was able to hit Rollins with the Cross Rhodes for the win and Tag Team Titles!
Match 2: Rey Mysterio Vs Heath Slater WCW Cruiserweight Title Match
Heath Slater didn’t come to play in this match. Slater turned his aggression up to 11 in his attempt to win the title and show 3MB isn’t just a joke team. Mysterio kept using high flying moves to keep in the match but soon Slater had the match going his way. Slater went for a top rope superplex, but Rey was able to turn it into a frankensteiner off the top rope. Rey thing hit the top rope frog slash for the win.
Match 3: Batista Vs JBL falls count anywhere
After returning after last month’s PPV, Batista has feuded with JBL after JBL injured Triple H. While Batista returned as a fan favorite, fans have begun to become skeptical over his actions along with Triple H’s. With that being said, fans were firmly behind Batista at the start of the match. It also didn’t take long for the match to spill to the outside. Once on the outside JBL was able to hit Batista with a fall away slam on the concrete floor. Batista was able to hit a massive spinebuster on the outside as well. After a few minutes JBL recovered and sent Batista threw a table with a DDT coming close to a 3 count. The action made it back into the ring with Batista able to hit a Batista Bomb for another close 3 count. This seemed to send the animal over the edge as Batista began to ruthlessly attack JBL with hard right hands. Triple H even made his way out to ringside to what appeared to talk Batista down. However once out there, Triple H handed Batista a chair that the animal attacked JBL with over and over again. Batista then threw JBL out of the ring and hit another Batista Bomb. Batista didn’t even try to cover JBL; instead he grabbed the steel steps and moved the closer to JBL. Then Batista hit JBL with the Batista Bomb on the steps, and then placed his foot on JBL for the easy 3 count.
Match 4: US title match Ryback Vs The Giant
The Giant was able to start this match strong and seemed to be keeping the champ in a vulnerable position. Ryback was able to mount a comeback late in the match and even went for a clothesline but Giant was able to turn that into a chokeslam. It looked as if the Giant was going to win but Ryback was able to get his shoulder up at the last second. Giant kept with the offence until Ryback was able to hit a scoop slam and several other high impact moves. In an incredible show of strength Ryback was able to lift the Giant up for the shellshock and win the match.
Match 5: King of the Ring final Cesaro Vs Phoenix
Both men told their teammates not to come out during the match; this was something both men had to prove. Once the bell rang, this match had it all; high intensity, mat wrestling, brawling, high risk moves, all while never slowing down the pace much. Fans were chanting, “This is epic” several times during the match. In the end Phoenix went for a top rope suplex, but Cesaro was able to push him off send Phoenix crashing to the mat, while at the same time Cesaro lost his balance and fell to the outside. Phoenix then went for a splash over the top rope but Cesaro was able to land an uppercut on Phoenix on the way down. This led to Cesaro getting in the ring and once Phoenix was on the apron, Cesaro was able to suplex Phoenix into the ring while standing on the middle rope. Cesaro then went for the neutralizer only for Phoenix to turn it into a cloverleaf. Cesaro was barely able to make it to the ropes, breaking the hold. Cesaro then was able to reverse Phoenix’s nervous fear finisher in to an Alpamare Waterslide. After that Cesaro went for the big swing and was able to do 12 rotations before letting Phoenix go. Cesaro then went for the uppercut off the middle rope, only for Phoenix to turn it into the nervous fear. Phoenix was unable to go straight for the pin as the exhaustion for both men set in. After getting back to his feet Phoenix made his way over to the corner and stood on the second rope. As Cesaro was able to stand back up Phoenix jumped from the top rope, wrapped his legs around Cesaro’s waist and falling back driving Cesaro’s head into the mat in a second rope leaping DDT. Phoenix went for the cover but amazingly Cesaro was able to kick out at 2 and 7/8s. Phoenix then leaned against the ropes in shock and disappointment before finally running up to the barely standing Cesaro and delivering the nervous fear again, this time finally putting Cesaro away.
As Phoenix stood in the ring, he shook Cesaro’s hand in a sign of respect. Afterward Ziggler, Miz, and Ryder all made their way out as Phoenix took his seat in the throne as the new King of the Ring. Ziggler handed him his IC title and Ryder passed him the mic. “If that match doesn’t prove to you that everything I have said isn’t true, then you are hopeless! Look at the talent right here on this stage, between the four of us, we are the future of this company. You can boo me, you can hate me and my group, but after this tournament, this is no way you can say, with a clear conscious that we are wrong. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can call us Under Rated, but we will never be underrated again!”
Match 6: Goldberg and Ultimate Warrior Vs the Outsiders Scott Hall and Kevin Nash
After defeating Goldberg last month in a 2 on one match, Hall and Nash decided to cause a little more chaos and attacked Ultimate Warrior before his match with Hulk Hogan for the number 1 contendership to the WCW title. The next week on Nitro Warrior challenged the Outsiders, who then tried to both attack Warrior. Goldberg then charged down the ring spearing Hall and evening the odds. Goldberg then offered up the idea of a tag match to which the Outsiders accepted.
The outsiders used double team moves to keep Warrior cut off from Goldberg thought out the match. When Goldberg was finally able to tag in, he used several powerful moves on Hall and while Nash taunted him from the outside. Eventually Nash tagged in and the two giants went at it. Goldberg would get the upper hand and set up for the spear. Hall was able to cut Goldberg off with a clothesline, which brought in the Warrior who clotheslined Hall over the top rope and followed him to the floor. Goldberg would slam Nash again and go for the spear, only this time Nash was able to side step it causing Goldberg to fall into the ropes just as Hall whipped Warrior into the ropes on the outside cause Goldberg’s and Warrior’s heads to collide. As Goldberg stumbled back Nash was able to take advantage and hit the Jackknife one Goldberg for the win. As Goldberg came to he grabbed the mic and challenged Nash to a one on one match, though Nash and Hall just laughed it off as they made their way to the back.
Match 7: WCW title Kofi Vs Hogan
This match started with Hogan going strong and firing the crowd up like always. Kofi after coming close to being pinned in the first 5 minutes was able to mount a comeback thanks to a well-timed soccer kick. This led to a prolonged period of Kofi working over Hogan with several high risk moves and wear down holds. Hogan was able to get the crowd behind him and rally back with several punches and slams. However when Hogan went for a clothesline Kofi was able to duck and hit a Trouble in Paradise and go for the cover. Hogan was able to strongly kick out at 2 and began to Hulk up, landing his normal 3 punches, big boot, and leg drop. Hogan went for the pin and it seemed like he got it, but as his music started playing and he was holding the WCW title in the air, the referee was waving it off saying that Kofi had barely gotten his shoulder up before the three count. Hogan dropped the belt and went to pick up Kofi while still arguing with the referee, which led to Kofi using the distraction to be able to hit the SOS with Hogan’s head landing on the WCW title. This allowed Kofi to get the pin. After the match Hogan Hulked up again and clotheslined Kofi over the top rope and let the champ know it wasn’t over yet.
Match 8: WWE title match: Daniel Bryan Vs Brock Lesnar Vs the Rock
In this match Lesnar dished out all the high impact moves, Rock would hit all the flashy moves, while Daniel Bryan would be utilizing all the faster paced moves. The fans were solidly behind Bryan throughout the match with several YES chants. The matched ended in a faced paced hard hitting manner. Bryan had both Lesnar and Rock in opposite corners of the ring, and was able to hit the running drop kick on Lesnar. When Bryan ran to do the same to Rock, Rock was able to come out of the corner and hit a Samoan drop on Bryan. Rock then turned his attention to Lesnar who scooped him up for an F-5. Rock was able to slide of it, run the ropes, duck a clothesline attempt from Lesnar, hit the ropes again and land a flying clothesline on Lesnar. Rock then set up and delivered a Rock Bottom on Lesnar. As Rock stood up, Bryan come out of nowhere and hit the Knee Plus for the win!

King of the Ring:
Every one backstage considered the King of the Ring PPVs exceptional and most of the match in the tournaments and PPVs were beyond what they had planned.
Raw:
Under Rated’s push is expected to continue as the group has impressed several people backstage. Ziggler and Miz are being considered for a run with the Tag Titles. Ryder is also expected to be placed in more mid card matches and feuds as well, with him defending his Internet title. At the same time Phoenix might be dropping the IC title soon. The feeling is they are ready to push him farther up the card and they might want to put the IC title on someone else to help elevate them.
Word is Big E or Dean Ambrose are both being considered to take the IC title off of Phoenix. There is still talk that Phoenix may hold the title past SummerSlam, but the belief is his run has restored a lot of the titles prestige.
There was some heat on Batista over his match with Titus at the King of the Ring Raw. Backstage Batista demanded to have a squash match since he was told he was going to be pinned by Big E cleanly. Officials wanted a competitive match as a way to build up Titus, but relented to Batista. On a positive note, his match with JBL came off perfectly and a lot of heat has gone away. As of now, Batista is considered a heel backstage along with Triple H. Word is a stable is expected to form with Triple H, Batista and a few others.
Brock Lesnar was not pinned in the triple threat match as a way of keeping him protected. A one on one match with Bryan for the WWE title is being considered for the next PPV.
Attitude:
The biggest shock of the KotR PPV was the reaction to Jericho. Backstage people thought HBK would be cheered over Jericho, but the fans pushed the match the over way. Due to Jericho expert way of going with the flow, he will now be pushed as a main face.
HBK was expected to turn face and feud with Diesel over the IC title, but now it looks like officials are going to keep the group together. HBK was happy to hear that as he prefers to work as a heel.
Macho Man is expected to now continue his feud with Diesel, now over the IC title. They are planning a match at the next PPV to be the final blow off feud. Savage is still expected to feud with punk over the summer.
The reason the Punk/Taker match was so short was due to time constraints. Both men were said to be angry, but are expected to continue the feud. The feud was expected to last another month before the PPV. The original finish was a double DQ.
Steve Austin has requested another match with Lesnar. Austin told officials backstage that Lesnar was “money in the making”.
WCW:
Cesero is expected to get a massive push after her performance in the KotR. Sting is so high on Cesaro that he wanted their match to be a squash. Sting felt like if it looked like Cesaro was able to find a small mistake and turn it into a huge win, it would help fans get behind him. It worked and officials considered it a huge show of his character.
Speaking of Sting, expect him to have more of an impact with the invasion angle of the outsiders. It is still being said that there is expected to be a third man with Hall and Nash.
Goldberg taking on Nash in a one on one match is also expected soon. The fact that Nash now has 2 pins over Goldberg will be the focal point. Though a lot of people thought Goldberg would be negative to the idea of losing back to back PPVs, Goldberg is excited about the angle backstage.
Officials were also pleased with Ryback’s performance in both the KotR and also against the Giant. Over the last few months Ryback has been over to the point that he may be moved into feuds with main event players. A feud with ultimate Warrior has been discussed, or possibly against Goldberg as the two have a similar style.
Mr. Perfect once again was given praise for his work with Ryback. The veteran is considered to have brought out the best in Ryback, making Ryback look like a million bucks while at the same time keeping the match competitive. It has been said backstage that Perfect is expected to get rewarded for his hard work.
The Kofi/Hogan match was said to be another huge success for Kofi’s run. His ability to work with anyone while getting over as a heel as helped his stock rise. After the screwing ending to his match with Hogan, it is a safe bet that they will have another match at the next PPV. Hogan has talked about taking some time off, so expect that to possibly factor into the match.
Jake Roberts and Rick Rude are expected to continue their feud as well. Bret Hart and ADR might also start a feud to give them something to do at the moment.
Rey is not expected to hold the Cruiserweight title for long. The plan for the division is for the belt to change hands often, with the idea being that the matches are so competitive any one mistake can lead to a new champ.
ECW:
The reason ECW didn’t participate in the KotR tournament with Attitude was due to the feeling that since being rebranded ECW from BGPW, ECW would have had to have the winning participant and that was always going to be HBK. The fear was that if ECW didn’t win, it would have shown them to be the weaker brand. At this point the WWE wants to build ECW up. ECW may have a tournament of their own in the next few weeks, but that is just a rumor at this point.
Eddie has continued to gain praise with his match work and also with the TV ratings since becoming champ. It looks as if a match with RVD is on the cards for some time over the summer possibly next month.
The tag team division of ECW is considered the best of the four brands. The horsemen are expected to drop the titles soon; however it is not known who they will drop them too. RVD and Sabu have been rumored to get a run with the belts, but both men are being talked about for single feuds as well.
Hunter was kept of the PPV due to creative not wanting to rush him into a feud. It has been heavily rumored that Ric Flair might be coming out of retirement to feud with Hunter over the horseman title. The contract as of right now according to sources is in Flair’s hands just waiting to be signed.
Steiner is expected to hold on to the TV title for a while. Officials have been pleased with his work and ability to gain heat in his matches. He is also being looked highly on due to the fact that he uses several powerful moves, yet no one has been injured.
There is rumored to be a major heel turn in the works
Overall:
The legends that I spoke of last time are still being brought in for a few matches. Still there is no word on whom they are or when they will be appearing.
Yokozuna is also expected to debut very soon as well; word is he is first of many stars coming into the company.
HBK and Phoenix have been discussed as having a feud that may lead to a Raw and Attitude feud as well. More than likely it will just be between the two men though.
WWE Raw:
The Show starts with Under Rated in the ring. Phoenix grabs the mic and says that, just like he said last night, he has once again proven himself to the world. He says that tonight the rest of Under Rated will do the same because tonight he has arranged for Ryder to take on Sandow, and Ziggler to take on WWE champ, Daniel Bryan. Ryder and Dolph both looked excited. He tells the men it’s not about winning and losing tonight, though wins are preferred, it’s about going out there and stealing the show. Miz grabs the mic and issues an open challenge. He says it’s about time he regains some of his momentum the powers that be took away from him over the last 3 years. He goes to talk some more when John Cena makes his return from injury. Cena comments on all that Under Rated has done or talked about, and how while he should just shut Phoenix’s mouth, tonight he will settle for taking out Miz.
Match one: Miz Vs Cena.
Cena starts off strong in this match, taking down Miz at every turn. Phoenix is at on commentary, seemingly annoyed but says that Cena will soon enough forget which of his 5 moves comes next and Miz will handle it. In the ring Cena goes for a clothesline that Miz turns into a neck breaker finally gaining control. After a few minutes Cena is about to mount a comeback. Cena eventually is able to escape the SCF and reverse it into the AA. Miz is able to slide out behind Cena and catch him in a SCF for the win out of nowhere!
Backstage the Shield walk into Steph’s office and demand a rematch for the tag team titles claiming they are the number one contenders. Triple H and Batista walk in and laugh saying it’s clear they have the ability to win, the clout to get the match, and the only win between all the members in the room last night was Batista. They look like they are about to attack, but Steph steps between them and say that while she knows both teams have good points, and both deserve a title shot, maybe they should fight each other. Raw goes to commercial with both teams staring at each other.
Match two: Brock Lesnar Vs Jay Uso
Jay Uso brings the fight to Lesnar, however Lesnar is a man possessed. Though Jay was able to get several big hits in early Lesnar quickly turns things around with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. After that it is just more pain from Lesnar who finishes Jay off with his kamura lock. After the match he grabs the mic and tells Bryan he need kiss his title goodbye because he only has a limited time with it. Lesnar challenges Bryan to a submission match at the PPV.
Match three: Zack Ryder Vs Sandow
This was a fast pace back and forth match that saw both men get equal time in control. The fans were unsure of who to root for. In the end Ryder was able to hit a Rough Ryder out of nowhere for the win.
Phoenix got in the ring to congratulate Ryder when Dean Ambrose made his way out. He grabbed a mic and said that Phoenix was lucky last week; everyone knows Dean had him beat. He challenges Phoenix to a title match, but before he can answer, Big E comes out to a big pop from the crowd. He says he wants a title shot as well. Steph comes out and says that is a great idea, but not tonight. Tonight Phoenix will take on Dean, next week he will take on Big E, and at the PPV he will defend his title in a triple threat match. After hearing that Phoenix flips out in the ring.
Match 4: Phoenix vs Dean (non-title)
This was a falls count anywhere match. These two seem to have great chemistry in the ring together with their mix of brawling and tradition wrestling. Late in the match, Ambrose and Phoenix were fighting on the ramp and Phoenix was able to hit a big powerslam. He started calling for the nervous fear but when he went for it, Dean was able to hit a chicken wing facebuster of his own for the win.
Match 5: Chris Jericho Vs Fandango
This was a pretty standard match, in the end Jericho was able to put Fandango away with a walls of Jericho.
Match 6: The Shield vs Triple H and Batista
In one of the best tag team matches in recent months, these two teams took it to each other. The Shield was able to keep Triple H away from his corner; However Batista was able to get the tag and started to put a hurting on Rollings. The end came when Batista clotheslined Rollings out of the ring, but the momentum carried him out as well. In the Ring Triple H turned around into a huge spear from Reigns for the win.
Match 7: Dolph Ziggler Vs Daniel Bryan
This was considered match of the night as these two put on an amazing performance. In the end Ziggler went for the Zig-Zag only for Bryan to reverse it into the YES lock. Ziggler was able to roll though for a close 2 count. When they returned to their feet, Bryan was able to duck a clothesline and land the Knee Plus for the win. After the match Lesnar appears from under the ring and destroys Bryan. Lesnar hit an F-5 and then locked in the Kamura lock on Bryan as the show went off the air.
Attitude:
Match 1: Brock Lesnar Vs HBK
The first match of the night pits KOTR winner HBK against newcomer Lesnar. However before the match can start Austin runs in and attacks Lesnar. HBK walks over and gets in Austin’s face, and receives a stunner. This enrages IC champ Diesel who then challenges Austin to a match.
Match 2: Austin Vs Diesel (non-title)
HBK stays with Diesel for this match and as everyone thought he would, he causes a distraction for Austin every chance he gets. After causing the ref to miss a 3 count HBK jumps back down to the floor. Austin walks over and yells at him. Diesel hits a big elbow to Austin’s ribs and shoots him to the ropes, on his way back Austin hits the Thez Press. After hitting Diesel with a few punches, Austin rolls out of the ring and is able to hit the stunner on HBK. He gets back in the ring as Diesel is getting up and is able to hit the Stunner for the win. As Austin comes off a turnbuckle celebrating, he turns into SCM from HBK and Diesel then hits a Jackknife power bomb. They leave Austin in the ring.
Match 3: Vader Vs Billy Gunn Vs Razor Ramon
This was an exciting triple threat match with each man looking strong. Vader was able to hit Gunn with a power bomb; later Razor hit Vader with a choke slam. In the end, Gunn was able to hit the famasour on Vader, but before he could go for the pin, Ramon grabbed him from behind and tossed him out of the ring to the floor and pin Vader for the win. After the match Gunn and Razor had words.
Match 4: Road Dogg Vs Edge
This was a back and forth match that really helped elevate Edge as a single competitor. In the end though, Road Dogg was able to hit the pump handle slam for the win.
Macho Man makes his way out to the ring next. He grabs the mic and talks about how close once again he was to holding the IC title at the KotR PPV. He goes on and says that’s ok, see he will win it in time, just like very very soon CM Punk will have to meet him in the ring for a shot at the title. He goes on to suggest that he is about to offer a challenge when the arena is filled with “No Chance in Hell”. Vince comes out and says that Macho better watch what he says next. He goes on that in the last few months, Macho hasn’t won a PPV match, so there is no way he is challenging Punk. If Macho wants to get to that point, he has a tall challenge ahead of him. In fact, he has to beat the Big Show, who after being out for a month is an angry Giant!
Match 5: Macho Man Vs The Big Show
Macho Man took a huge beating in this match. At one point Big Show took off the top turnbuckle cover and tried to ram MM into it, but MM was able to escape. In the end Big Show threw MM into the exposed turnbuckle and went for a slash, only for MM to be able to dodge at the last second send Big Show rib first into the corner. As Big Show stumbled out MM was able to somehow lift Big show with a scoop slam. Big Show was still woozy as MM made his way to the top turnbuckle and hit the Elbow drop for the win. After the match Big Show went after MM and choke slammed him hard on the concrete floor.
Match 6: Jericho Vs Brian Pillman
Jericho was able to pick up the win in this competitive match. Once again Jericho was one the most popular superstars on the show
Match 7: Owen Hart Vs Undertaker
Once again before the match started CM Punk attacked Taker as he was getting off his motorcycle. Once Punk rolled Taker into the ring Owen went straight for the pin. Somehow taker was able to kick out. After several minutes of Owen working over taker, Owen missed a top rope drop kick. This allowed taker to catch his breath and deliver a choke slam and a last ride for the win. The show goes off the air with taker holding the ropes open for Punk to come on, only for Punk to walk backstage.
WCW:
Goldberg starts off the show and tells Nash he will be waiting for him in the parking lot if he has the guts to meet him there.
Match 1 DDP Vs Scott Hall
Nash told Hall he was going to take care of Goldberg and held up a steel pipe before walking backstage. The match was pretty even, and it looked like it could have gone either way. A camera cuts to backstage in the parking lot and Nash is there but there is no Goldberg. When it cuts back to the match, Hall is able to push out of a diamond cutter sending DDP into the corner. Hall then hits DDP with a middle rope belly to back suplex on DDP that takes the ref out. Hall motions for the outsiders edge, when out of nowhere Goldberg jumps from the crowd and spears Hall. He then Jackhammers Hall and places DDP on top of hall. The ref comes to and counts to three.
After Hall makes it to the back Nash swears to him he will take care of Goldberg tonight.
Attitude/ECW No Way Out PPV
Match 1: Ric Flair and Arn Anderson Vs Hunter and Scott Steiner
After a few months of calling his group the 4 horsemen, Hunter was confronted by Ric Flair. Hunter warned Flair to walk away, he didn’t have it anymore and if he stuck around the new horsemen would destroy him. The next week as Hunter was watching Steiner defend his TV title backstage, he was attacked by Flair and Anderson. Later that night during a tag team title match Flair and Anderson interfered and cost Aries and Rhodes their tag titles to team 3-D. last week a Horseman Vs Horseman tag match was made.
This Tag match was contested under “extreme rules”. The match started off as a wild brawl and never let up. For the majority of the match Flair focused on Hunter, While Arn dealt with Steiner. Some of the bigger spots included Steiner setting up Arn on the announcers table for an underarm suplex, only for Arn to reverse it into his signature spinebuster. Hunter went to attack Flair with a sledgehammer, only to have Flair slam a steel chair into his leg as he walked over. Flair continued to work over Hunters leg. Hunter was able to eventually slam Flair with a spinebuster of his own in the ring. This brought in Arn to break up a pin attempt, allowing Hunter and Steiner to double team Arn. Flair was able to get up and attack Hunter’s knee with his own sledgehammer, then give Steiner a shot to the stomach with the sledgehammer. Flair then locked in the figure four on Hunter, while Arn grabbed the doubled over Steiner for a DDT. However Steiner was able to reverse the move into his Steiner screwdriver. Sadly Flair was facing away from the action, focusing on trying to making Hunter tap, causing him to miss his chance to break up the pin. Hunter tapped at the same time the ref’s hand hit the mat for the 3rd time, however the ref never seen the tap out. Flair realized what happened, but before he could break the hold, Steiner dropped a huge Steiner Elbow on Flair’s chest. Steiner helped Hunter to the back and Hunter was visibly unable to put weight on his leg. Flair and Arn received a standing ovation from the audience on their way backstage.
Match 2: IC title Match: Razor Ramon Vs Jericho Vs Diesel (champ)
The buildup for this match focused on how Jericho has become one of the top faces on the attitude brand. He challenged Diesel to a one on one match, however Razor won a #1 contenders match putting him in the match as well.
The match ultimately became a two on one match with razor and Diesel teaming up on Jericho. Jericho was able to land a few high impact moves but each time he was cut down. Eventually Diesel and Razor did lock horns, and the two showed a great chemistry between them. During the final moments of the match Razor landed a fall away slam on Jericho, duck a clothesline from Diesel, grabbed him from behind and placed Diesel on the top turnbuckle. Razor went for a middle rope suplex, but Diesel was able to land several back elbows causing Razor to crash to the mat. Diesel the set Razor up for the Jack Knife power bomb only to have Jericho connect with a running bulldog on Diesel. Jericho quickly followed this up with a lionsault, however before he could go for the pin Razor came out of nowhere and grabbed him by the throat, then hit Jericho for a chokeslam for the win. As Razor walked to the back, Diesel started to rise up in the ring, clearly upset. As he watched as Razor walked backstage, Diesel turned his attention to Jericho and hit him with the Jack Knife.
Match 3: Extreme Rules Mick Foley Vs Kurt Angle
These two men have feuded with each other for several months now, all in hopes of proving who the best is, while at the same time guaranteeing them a title shot. The start of the match was surprisingly a lot of mat wrestling that is until Foley got warmed up. Soon chairs, tables and even a trash can filled the ring. Kurt was able to send Foley through the (newly rebuilt) announcer’s table, while later Foley was able to hit Kurt with a double arm DDT. Late in the match Foley wedged a chair between the ropes and tried to send Kurt crashing into it head first. Kurt was able to drop to the mat and grab Foley’s ankle locking in the ankle lock. Tough it looked like Foley was coming close to tapping out he was able to roll over on his back and kick Kurt off, which this time did send Kurt into the chair. When Kurt stumbled back Foley was able to grab him for a piledriver, which due to the placement of a table, sent Kurt’s crashing into the corner of it, cutting him open. Foley was able to get the pin and the win, finally ending this feud win a clear winner.
Match 4: Cage Match HBK Vs Steve Austin
This was a slobber knocker of a cage match. Both men left bloody and I would assume bruised when this was all over. There was no outside interference or screw job ending to this match either, just two completely different guys who wanted to fight. In the end, while HBK was climbing the cage after hitting Austin with SCM, Austin was able to catch him before his feet went over the side. Austin then hit a suplex from the top of the cage on HBK. This allowed Austin the time he would need to crawl out of the door before HBK could catch him.
Match 5: Falls Count Anywhere Mac ho Man Vs Big Show
After weeks of Macho being attacked at every chance by the Big Show, tis was finally his time to get payback. This match was brutal for both men. It looked like Macho was down and out at one point after Big Show chokeslammed him through the announcers table. Big Show would have had the match won, but he decided to set up a table over top a steel step. He placed the other step next to it and motioned he was going to chokeslam Macho through the table onto the steel steps while standing on the other steps. This backfired on him though as when he went to pick up the seemly knocked out Macho, Macho was able to hit a low blow on Big Show. This allowed him to hit Big Show with a massive chair shot, which left Big Show laid out on the table. Macho then ran in the ring, climbed the turnbuckle, and landed the flying elbowdrop on Big Show, which caused him to go through the table and land very hard on the steps. Macho seemed out of it as well, but he was lying on top of Big Show from the fall allowing himself to get the 3 count and the win!
Match 6: Attitude Title Match CM Punk © Vs the Undertaker
This was an evenly fought match that could have gone either way. Toward the end of the match it was obvious that CM Punk was running out of steam, while Taker seemed to ready to finally reclaim his WWE title. After escaping a Last Ride attempt leaving Taker on the mat, Punk went to the outside of the ring and brought in his title belt and a steel chair. He dropped the belt as walking in and went to attack Taker with the chair but the ref grabbed the chair before Punk could swing it. The ref then turned around to throw the chair out, which allowed Punk to pick up the title belt and crack Taker in the head with it as he was getting up. Punk went for the pin but somehow Taker was able to kick out at the 2 count. Punk then lifted Taker up for the GTS, but Taker was able to slide out and hit Punk with a Chokeslam. Taker then set Punk up for the Last Ride, and was finally able to connect with it, however on the way up, Punk’s foot hit the ref in the face causing the ref to be knocked out. Taker had Punk pinned for at least a 5 count going by the audience counting. Taker then got up to try and wake up the ref when Brock Lesnar came out and hit Taker with an F-5 out of nowhere. As the ref was still out, Lesnar hit 3 more F-5s on Taker, put Punk on top of Taker, and then woke the ref to make the pin count. Punk was still champ after the match was over. After the match Lesnar got on Taker’s bike and drove it to the top of the ramp. As Taker was slowly starting to rise, Lesnar pushed the bike off the ramp on to the concrete below. Brock laughed from on stage as Vince came out to help Punk to the back while trying to pull Lesnar backstage before Taker could fully regain his senses.
Match 7: ECW World Championship Eddie Vs RVD
Paul Heyman comes out and sits at the commentary table. He tells everyone that he isn’t out here to help RVD, but he is out here to see firsthand if RVD has what it takes to become a true Paul Heyman guy. The new aggressive attitude and hair cut isn’t enough, he has to be willing to give it his all AND walk away with the title. The match from start to finish is face paced and full of risk taking moves. In the end, RVD hits the Vandaminatior or Eddie and sets him up for the coast to coast. Eddie is able to move at the last second causing RVD to crash hard on to the mat. After taking a few seconds to regain himself, Eddie pulls RVD to the center of the ring and goes to the top rope for a frog splash. RVD is able to move out of the way at the last second and hit Eddie with a jumping DDT as he gets to his feet. RVD then hits a 5 star frog splash of his own for the win and the ECW title.

There has been a lot of talk lately about separating the PPVs. the top PPVs like WrestleMania, Summerslam, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble would still be combined, but the rest would be broken up. There would still only be two a month, but each brand would only compete every other month. For example this month’s PPVs would be one for Raw and the other for attitude, while the next month one would be for WCW and the other would be for ECW. As of now it is expected that this will start after Summerslam, but it could start next month. It also isn’t set which PPVs will be set in the same month.
One of the big reasons for the PPV change is to allow for storylines to be built up longer so the payoff is more rewarding. Also with more room on a PPV (each brand generally gets between 3-4 matches, sometimes only 2) more mid-card feuds can also have a payoff at the PPV. This will allow more superstars to be properly built up as well.
Though Eddie dropped the belt to RVD, plans are still in play for him to be a top player for the next few months. RVD’s heel run is currently scheduled to be the biggest storyline, seeing how most thought he would never turn heel with his popularity being so big.
John Cena is being looked at as RVD’s opponent for Summerslam. Officials are still pleased how he is still massively over with the fans.
Up until the PPV, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson were booked to win their tag match. It isn’t known why that was changed, but from what most sources say the feud is a long way from over. Expect Flair and Anderson to fully form a 4 horseman group over the next few weeks. Kurt Angle and possibly Eddie are the top two candidates to rounding out the group. It has been said Angle is a 100% lock for the group. Hunter and Flair are scheduled to go one on one in a match at Summerslam. A 6-man match is possible for the next PPV between the two groups. Flair and Anderson are considered to have at contracts lasting until at least September, with the possibility of extending farther out.
With all that being said, it is expected that Steiner will be dropping the belt soon. It is said he will drop it to one of the younger guys on the roster.
**BREAKING NEWS***
Two weeks before the No Way Out PPV Kofi Kingston has lost the WCW heavyweight title to the Ultimate Warrior on Nitro! The reason for that was due to over the weekend at a house show he injured his knee in a match against Hogan. Kofi will need surgery first thing the morning after Nitro. Officials were impressed that Kofi insisted on losing the title in a match, even if it meant a squash match due to his injury. Kofi was said to have been saying the storyline going into No Way Out with Hogan chasing the title needed to be told for the fans. On Nitro it was decided that Ultimate Warrior would win, since a Warrior/Hogan match would be easy to sell in 2 weeks. Warrior was also picked due to a squash match would fit with his gimmick, and they would be able to do the match with Kofi’s injury. Kofi is expected to miss several months of ring time, but according to sources, Vince is extremely high on him after his title run and his willingness to put warrior over though he was in extreme pain. It is being said when Kofi comes back he will go straight back to the main event.
NOW:
Syxx Vs Rey for Cruiserweight title
This was a very fast paced match for the cruiserweight title. This match came about after Syxx won a #1 contenders match on Nitro over Christian. Rey seemed to have the match going in his favor until a missed 619 allowing Syxx to lock in the buzzkill on Rey but Rey was able to make it to the ropes. When Rey got up he was able to set up another 619 but Syxx moved causing Rey to hit the ref. While Rey was checking on the ref Kevin Nash jumped on the apron distracting Rey while Hall threw Syxx the title, which he then slammed in the back of Rey’s head. Syxx made the cover as the ref was waking up giving him the win. After the match Hall and Nash gave Syxx a NWO shirt, reveling Syxx as the 3rd man they have been talking about adding.
Cesaro Vs Ryback, Bret Hart, Sheamus, Sting, and Hall in an elimination chamber match
After a month of Cesaro calling out Ryback for the US title, Cesaro was upset to find out that while he would get a title shot, so would 4 other men. This match was a brutal match from start to finish. No one was eliminated until all 6 men were in the match. Cesaro was able to eliminate Sheamus after hitting him with a neutralizer on the steel grate. Sting looked to eliminate Hart only for Hall to attack him from behind. Hall then threw Sting into the POD crashing it. Hall worked over Sting until Sting was able to mount a comeback. However Syxx ran out and threw Hall brass knuckles, which the first opportunity he got, he used on Sting, which lead to him pinning Sting. As Hall got up However he was met with a Meat Hook from Ryback, followed by a shellshock and elimination. Hart was able to eliminate Ryback with a small package out of nowhere for a shocking elimination. This led the final two men to be Cesaro and Hart who then put on a wrestling clinic. In the end, Hart went to lock in the sharpshooter, only for Cesaro to kick Hart in the head. Cesaro then locked in the big swing. Hart got up dizzy, while Cesaro jumped off the middle rope and connected with the European uppercut for the win and the US title.
Kevin Nash Vs Goldberg
After months of fighting in tag matches and handicap matches, Goldberg finally got his one on one match. Goldberg wasted no time in taking it too Nash. Toward the end, both Hall and Syxx tried to interfere but Goldberg was able to take both men out with a strong kick to Hall’s head and a massive powerslam on the outside to Syxx. On the outside Nash tried to charge Goldberg but he ducked out of the way causing Nash to crash into barrier. Goldberg then speared Nash through the barrier, but neither man was able to make it back to their feet before the count of 10.
Daniel Bryan Vs Lesnar WWE title Submission only match
This was a classic underdog story as Brock used massive power moves to try to destroy Bryan while Bryan worked in as many submission moves as he could to wear down the beast. This match also saw both men use chairs and at one point Lesnar sent Bryan threw a table. Bryan was having luck in slowly wearing down the beast but made the mistake of going to the top rope for a drop kick. Brock was able to catch Bryan and throw him into an F-5. Lesnar was then able to lock in the Kimura lock but Bryan was able to fight out of it. Lesnar went for another F-5 but Bryan was able to turn that into the YES lock. Lesnar tried to roll out of it but Bryan was able to hang on which left Lesnar in the middle of the ring and no choice but to tap out.
Logan Phoenix Vs Big E Vs Ambrose in a cage match for the IC title
After weeks of these 3 men trading victories over each other and brawling it was time to settle it. This was a wild brawl inside the cage and at one point or another each man was close to climbing over the cage to win. In the end Ambrose set Big E up for his finisher and as he went to connect, Phoenix grabbed Big E’s head as well and hit his move at the same time leaving Big E laid out. This started a fight between Ambrose and Phoenix which ended with Phoenix sling shotting Ambrose into the cage, who then stumbled back into the Nervous Fear from Phoenix. Phoenix then started to climb the cage, but at this point Big E started to rise to his feet and lowered his straps as the fans went crazy. Phoenix was hanging at almost the top of the cage and looked back and seen Big E. Phoenix then pushed off the cage to hit a cross body, only for Big E to catch him and hit the Big Ending instead. Fans went wild as Big E was then able to go through the cage door for the win and become the NEW IC champ!
Miz and Ziggler Vs Rhodes brothers for the Tag Team Titles
Ryder came out with Under Rated while Dusty Rhodes joined the Rhodes brothers. This match was a very good tag match that seemed to be going to be a win for the Rhodes brothers at the end. However as Goldust set up the Curtain Call, Ryder got on the apron to distract the ref. As he did Dusty started to walk over to pull him down, but Ryder jumped off and hit Dusty with a Rough Ryder! This sent the Rhodes brothers over the edge and they both ran out of the ring to double team Ryder who ran to the back. The Rhodes brothers were counted out. Miz and Ziggler celebrated their win but were clearly disappointed they would not be leaving with the tag titles.
Hulk Hogan Vs Ultimate Warrior for the WCW title
Hogan’s music was playing but he never came out. Backstage we see Hogan laid out with the Warrior checking on him calling for help. All of a sudden Scott Hall is in the ring with a steel pipe in his hands. He grabs a mic and tells Warrior to come on out, the NWO said they were going to take over and it happens tonight. Warrior needs an opponent and he knows just the person. Warrior does he run to the ring and quickly hands his title to the ref while he runs toward Hall. Hall jumps out of the ring before Warrior can get him and tells Warrior he isn’t the one fight him, he is and points behind Warrior. Hulk Hogan in NWO gear is behind Warrior and starts hammering Warrior with fist. The bell rings and it looks like Hogan has joined the NWO and is now in full control over Warrior. The match stays in Hogan’s favor for a while until Hogan hits the big boot and leg drop, but Warrior strongly kicks out of the pin! Warrior is beginning to shake the ropes and doesn’t seem to feel Hogan’s strikes anymore. Warrior hits Hogan with 2 clotheslines that knock Hogan down followed by a flying shoulder block that lays Hogan out. Fans are on their feet as Warrior lifts Hogan up for the military press. Warrior then goes for the Warrior Splash but Hall jumps on the apron so Warrior jumps over Hogan and clotheslines Hall. Warrior didn’t see that Hall slide the steel pipe in the ring and Hogan has it. Warrior turns around and Hogan cracks Warrior in the head with it as the ref is yelling at Hall on the outside. Hogan hits the leg drop for the win and the WCW title. After the match Hogan tells the fans to stick it, he is now Hollywood Hogan, and when you’re NWO, you’re NWO for life!

Solid PPV from Raw and WCW. It has been said that the Hogan NWO angle has been in the motion for months, which is why Hogan was pushed so heavy the last few months and why Kofi dropping the belt to Warrior wasn’t seen as an issue since now Warrior could get over due to being backstabbed.
Speaking of Warrior, backstage Bret Hart has been pushing for a match with him, expect that to happen soon.
There is a push backstage for tag teams and stables. Right now they are getting over huge with the crowd so expect that to continue. The Wyatts are becoming a top stable due to the feud with Cena, while Under Rated is expected to continue their massive push, Evolution is expected to reform and the Shield is turning face. NWO is said to be the big WCW story so expect that to stay huge as well. JBL has been pegged to also start a stable as well.
A rumor is a few more titles are going to be brought in for Attitude and WCW. Right now the TV title for WCW and the European title for Attitude have been discussed as a way to elevate younger guys.
The woman’s division is expected to get a major push as well.
Backstage word is Phoenix and HBK could end up both being MitB winners, however there is a thought that that is too predictable so they might not win the briefcases.
The Summerslam PPV is expected to be treated as Wrestlemania this year. Word is Vince doesn’t want to hold off on any match that have been thought saving for WM, and let them happen as Summerslam as a way to keep momentum and also bring in as many views as possible. Raw:
Raw starts off with Under Rated in the ring. Phoenix has the mic and is calling out Steph. When she comes out he demands a rematch for the IC title tonight, along with a rematch for Ziggler and Miz for the tag titles. Steph starts out talking like she is going to grant all that, then Triple H walks out and whispers something into her ear then walks backstage. Steph then smiles and says no. Phoenix says that Miz and Ziggler won so they deserve another shot, and he has his rematch clause, and if he has to he will use it tonight and still wrestle in the MitB qualifier match tonight. Steph says there it is, if Miz and Ziggler want a title shot tonight, then Phoenix has to give up his rematch. She says that for the last year he has been a pain in her side, and after winning the IC title it only became worse. She finally has a chance to humble him. So that’s the deal, give up his shot for his team to get a shot. Phoenix goes to answer and Steph cuts him off to remind him that before Goldust was counted out, it wasn’t looking so great for Miz in the ring. Miz and Dolph look disappointed in the ring, but to everyone surprise Phoenix agrees to give up his title rematch. He tells Steph he didn’t create Under Rated because he didn’t believe in them, so he will prove it by giving up his shot, and they will prove themselves by winning.
Match 1: Miz and Ziggler Vs Rhodes Brothers
This was another solid Tag match from these four men that had the crowd excited. In the end, while running the ropes, Ziggler was able to get a blind tag in to Miz, Cody didn’t see it as he was setting up the beautiful disaster kick. After hitting Ziggler with it, Cody went to pin him only for Miz to hit the SCF from behind. Goldust tried to run in, but Miz ducked and Goldust went over the top rope. A three count later and we have new champs!
Ryder retain internet title over Sandow and Fandango
These three men showed why they are the future of the WWE. All three men were able to hit their finishers in this match. Fandango was able to hit Ryder with the diving leg drop. After a few minutes with Sandow, Sandow was able to hit Fandango with the Your Welcome. But that was enough time for Ryder to recover and hit the Rough Ryder out of nowhere. After the match as Ryder made his way to the back, Dusty Rhodes came out and attacked him. Eventually the Rhodes brothers came out along with Miz and Ziggler leading to a huge brawl.
Phoenix over JBL
This was a hard hitting brawl between these two men who both were fighting for a chance to be in the MitB ladder match. In an ending that came out of nowhere, phoenix was able to duck a CFH from JBL and land a Nervous Fear for the win.
After the match, Michael Cole caught up with JBL backstage. JBL was frustrated, saying that he came to Raw to win the damn title, destroyed Triple H and then has gotten nowhere. Well he is tired of it, and money changes everything!
Shield over evolution elimination match
This match was more of a wild brawl than anything. About 8 minutes into it Rollins was able to hit the Blackout on Triple H for the surprise fall. Batista immediately hit a spear on Rollins after the pinfall, then hit the Batista Bomb for the pin. This set up Reigns vs Batista in a hard hitting match. In the end, Batista was trying to suplex Reigns in from the ring apron, only for Reigns to reverse it sending Batista crashing to the mat. Reigns climbed on the top turnbuckle and as Batista turned around, Reigns hit him with a spear from the top rope for the win.
harper over Cena
As soon as this match started, Cena was able to hit an AA. However as he went for the pin, Bray Wyatt began to distract Cena by talking in the mic about the lies that Cena sells. Cena eventually turned around into a big boot from Harper for the win.
big e over Ambrose after orton interfered
both men were over with the crowd in this match. Big E lifted Ambrose up for the Big Ending at one point, but Ambrose was able to squirm out of it, knocking the ref down, and hit the headlock driver on Big E. with the Ref down, Orton entered the ring and hit an RKO on Ambrose and pulled Big E on top of him for the 3 count.
bryan over fandango with kane
this match came about after Steph made a comment to Bryan backstage about being lucky to survive Lesnar. Bryan to exception to this telling Steph that he has worked harder than anyone and no one will take this belt from him, which set off the crowd chanting YES! Steph who seemed to be less of the friend GM she has been, and more like the attitude Triple H has been displaying since Batista came back.
Fandango was picked due to him being around Steph when told Bryan he had a match, and even though he had already competed Fandango gave it his all. Bryan though was able to hit the High Knee for the win. With the bell sounding the lights went dark. When they came back on Kane stood behind Bryan and made a gesture that he wanted the next shot.

Taker took out lesnar backstage in revenge for the previous PPV two nights ago
punk interfered and attacked both macho man and jericho in a #1 contenders match
afterward Punk grabbed a mic and said both these men couldn’t lace his boots. He is the best in the world.
Rock comes out and tells everyone that now he is finally back, and it doesn’t matter if that waffle house fry cook Punk has the belt or not, he will be the WWE champ again. This brought out Vince who said that since Rock is back and wants to issue challenges out to HIS handpicked champ, here is a challenge for you, The Big Show comes out.
Vader destroyed HBK but won by count out
Vader returned to action after a few months out and looked in better shape than ever. While HBK was his normal cocky self to start this match, things turned different when Vader showed off a very brutal streak. After beating HBK down for several minutes Diesel came out to try and make the save but was cut off by a thunderous clothesline from Vader on the outside. This allowed HBK to jump from the top rope on to Vader, but Vader was able to catch HBK and slam him into the ring post. Vader then hit HBK with 3 powerbombs on the outside of the ring before Diesel was able to recover and stop him. Vader went in the ring while the ref counted and challenged Diesel to enter.
Backstage while HBK was being looked at by doctors, Diesel got in Vince’s face and demanded something be done. He told Vince that they have had Vince’s back the last few months and he lets this happen? Vince tried to calm Diesel down and told him that the next match is Diesel vs Razor, and if, no when he wins Vince will give him a rematch for the IC title against Razor. In fact Vince is guaranteeing Diesel will win.
big show interfered allowing Diesel to pin Razor after a choke slam
Diesel looked hesitant to pin Razor after Big show hit the chock slam. In fact it seemed as if Diesel was still upset about everything that had gone down.
Jarrett attacked Billy Gunn during his match with Kane
Jarrett and Owen are issuing the challenge to Gunn and Road dogg for a title match. It also has been revealed that next week, Road dogg will go one on one with Owen.
Rock over Big Show, vince replaced Big Show
. The big show gets in the ring, but stops and laughs and says nope, and Vince comes out ready to wrestle. Vince tells big show to head to the back, it’s time he taught the rock a lesson on his own. As soon as big show leaves the ring the bell rings and Vince gets in Rock’s face. Rock wasted no time in delivering a Rock Bottom, followed by a People’s Elbow for the win in this 2 move match. Rock jumps out the ring as the corporation runs to the ring.
CM Punk vs Steve Austin
Punk and Austin have words as the bell rings which then come to blows. These two men can’t stand each other and Austin is looking to finally score a win over Punk in this non-title match. By the time the match was over these two men had treated the wrestling world to another instant classic. Surprisingly Punk was able to win clean with the GTS. After Punk left the ring, Attitude went off the air with a close up of a very disappointed Austin.
WCW:
Match 1: Booker T vs Drew
WCW opens up with the return of Booker T in a very competitive match with Drew. Booker was able to hit the Huston Hangover but Drew was able to kick out! Drew was able to get some offensive in, but in the end one mistake would leave Booker open to hit the Booker kick for the win.
Vince makes a surprising entrance to the ring. He then tells everyone for the last few months’ people have wondered who would be the GM of WCW. He says that while he has humbly offered his services to run WCW, the board of directors has out voted him based on the past. So therefor he will stick to Attitude but as owner and CEO of WWE he is here to present to the GM of WCW, the Living Legend; Bruno Sammartino! Bruno comes out to a huge ovation and thanks the crowd. He says that he has been watching WCW and has not liked some of the things he has seen. The causes the NWO to come to the ring. Hogan gets in Bruno’s face and tells him that he better get used to it, cause the NWO is here and they will be taking over. Hogan goes on to talk about how all week he has been asked why would he turn his back on fans, well the fans can stick it, he doesn’t care about them. He use to rule the wrestling world, no he WAS the wrestling world! When Hall, Nash, and Syxx talked to him about this, he knew this was what he needed. No one could stop them now even Bruno. Bruno moves closer to Hogan and says he doesn’t like his tone but Hall and Nash step between them. At that, Goldberg comes rushing to the ring and the NWO scatter. Bruno says that tonight Nash Vs Goldberg and there must be a winner! And it’s next!
Match 2: Goldberg Vs Nash
Hard hitting match between these two men. Goldberg seemed to have momentum going his way and even hit a spear. However Randy Savage came out of nowhere and as Goldberg went to set up Nash for the Jackhammer he connected with a double axe handle from the top rope allowing Nash to once again get the victory. After the match Bruno comes out and says this is the stuff he is tired of, and now at the PPV, Savage will take on Goldberg!
Next out is Bret Hart. Bret gets on the mic and says that back when he first won his first world title he was told over the first few months he would take on two men that ended up leaving before he got the chance. So now he has been thinking about how he wants to prove he really is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. He challenges Warrior to a match at the PPV for the number 1 contendership. He then says after he wins he will finally get the match against Hogan that Hogan has been ducking for years. Bruno again comes out and says that he has always enjoyed Hart, and he is going to set up the Warrior match for the PPV!
Match 3: Syxx vs Sin Cara for the Cruiserweight title match
This was a face paced match with a lot of reversals and high flying moves. Sin Cara almost had the match won, however Syxx was able to hit an X-Factor out of nowhere for the win.
Match 4: Cesaro Vs Ryback US title match
In this rematch for the US title, Cesaro was able to use the ropes to get the pin.
Other WCW high lights include Hart defeating ADR only for Hogan to come out, which brought out DDP, Savage attacked Goldberg.
ECW
Before the first match paul Heyman announced that while he was not RVD’s manager, he was invested in his run as ECW champ. This brought out John Cena who decided that he is ready for his title shot. Paul said that if Cena can defeat RVD in a non-title match later, he can have his shot at the gold.
Ric Flair came out to the ring next to call out Hunter. Flair said that Hunter and Steiner were lucky, and that any other time, he could take Hunter out without breaking a sweat. He challenged Hunter to a rematch, but this time a 6 man tag. Hunter came out and laughed at the challenge before getting serious and accepting the challenge. This brought out Heyman who then said he liked the idea of a tag match; in fact the first match will be Flair AND Hunter teaming to take on Abyss and Magnus.
Match 1: Flair and Hunter vs Abyss and Magnus
Hunter got the win in this match. In fact he did most of the work. He was the first man in and after taking a black hole slam from Abyss he tagged in Flair. However he made a blind tag in a few minutes later, and after that refused to tag in Flair. After the match the two men had more words.
Match 2: Austin Aries and Bobby Rhoode Vs Team 3D
Another great match from the 2 teams, however in the end Arn Anderson made a surprise run in and hit Austin with a spinebuster. This allowed bully to set up the 3D for the win.
Match 3: Samoa Joe Vs Vampiro
This was not only the match of the night, but it is in the running for match of the year. After both men several moves on each other but were able to keep fighting. The end came when Vampiro tried to land a moved from the top rope on a downed Joe, only for Joe to move. This allowed Joe to land a running shining wizard for the win.
The Main event saw John Cena defeat RVD for a future title shot. After a back and forth match Cena was able to land several offensive moves. However as he went for the AA, RVD was able to slip out and hit a spinning heel kick. RVD followed that up with a running drop kick. RVD flipped up from off his back, however Cena was already up, and as RVD landed on his feet Cena hit the AA out of nowhere for the win. Heyman was less than amused.
BRING UP TO DATE:
On Raw Phoenix continued his defiance and earned a spot in the MitB latter match. JBL returned with his new stable and won a match over Jericho. Wade Barrett was in action and defeated Zach Ryder after Dusty Rhodes came out and distracted Ryder. This led to a match with Cody and Goldust Vs Ziggler and Miz that ended in a DQ. Evolution defeated the shield in a rematch. Bryan was able to pin Kane with a Knee plus. After the match Kane destroyed Bryan. Cena lost to Wyatt.
Attitude seen the farther break down with HBK and Diesel from Vince. Brock Lesnar was given Diesels IC title shot against Razor since Vince didn’t feel Diesel was thankful. Vince then ordered HBK and Diesel to stand guard so that Taker couldn’t interfere in the match. When Taker showed up, HBK and Diesel stepped aside and Taker cost Lesnar the match. Later in the night Taker was put in a match against Vader only for Lesnar to attack Taker. This brought out HBK and Diesel who fought off Vader, Big Show, and Lesnar with Taker. Austin lost to Kane after Pillman showed up after months on the side lines with a torn ACL. After the match Pillman continued the assault on Austin, saying Austin was the reason he was injured for so long. Road dogg lost to Owen Hart thanks to JJ interference while at the same time Vince banned Billy Gunn from ringside. The main event seen The Rock vs Big Show in a falls count anywhere match. In the end the Rock lost after all of the corporation came down and attacked him. This brought out Taker, NAO, and HBK and Diesel to even the odds.
Attitude and ECW Money in the Bank PPV:
Match 1: Jeff Hardy Vs Scott Steiner for the ECW TV title
Two weeks before this match on ECW TV, these two squared off in a non-title match. During the course of that match, Jeff had the match going his way until he slowed the pace. When he slowed down this allowed Steiner to grab a hold of him and land several hard hitting moves. Steiner ended up kicking Hardy’s head against the ring post, and then did the Steiner Screwdriver through the announcers table for the win. In this PPV match, Hardy wasn’t taking any chances. In fact it was non-stop Hardy from the bell ringing. He landed several big high risk moves. Steiner was able to make a comeback, but made a mistake and Hardy was able to land the swanton for the win and new TV champ.
Match 2: Razor Ramon Vs Kane
Kane tried hard, but Razor was able to pull out the win with an impressive Razor Edge on the near 300 pounder.
Match 3: NAO vs Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett for the tag titles
In this TLC match these 4 guys gave it their all. The spot of the match was when JJ set up the ladder on the ropes, after a few minutes Road Dogg was on the outside and JJ run on the ladder and jump over the top rope and landed a major elbow drop on RD. in the end, JJ was able to grab the belts as Billy was hitting the Fameasur on Hart.
Match 4: Flair, Anderson, Angle Vs Hunter, AA, Bobby Rhoode
In these horsemen vs horsemen match it was faced paced from start to finish. Before the match Flair introduced Angle as the newest horseman and their secret weapon. He proved that as he worked on all three mens legs. Both teams kept fast tags. At one point Angle was left in the ring for a while until he finally was able to tag in Flair. Flair kept the work up on Hunters leg and locked in the figure four but before hunter could tap, Rhoode broke up the hold. Flair then took some damage from Hunter before tagging in Angle again. Angle was set up to take the pedigree, but was able to reverse it into an ankle lock. Hunter tapped before this team could break it up.
Match 5: Taker vs Lesnar inferno match.
After a month of each man attacking each other it was time to get in the ring. Lesnar hit the F-5 and it seemed to set up Taker to be burned. However Taker was able to fight back, hit a tombstone and set Lesnar on fire for the win.
Match 6: RVD vs Cena for the ECW title
RVD held control of this match in the beginning until a misstep almost cost him. Cena was able to make a big come back and hit several big moves. When Cena went for the AA, RVD was able to slide out, hit rolling thunder and immediately land a huge 5 star frog slash for the win in this hard fought contest.
Match 7: The Rock, HBK, and Diesel Vs The Big Show, Vader, and Vince
The newly turned faces HBK and Diesel got a huge pop from the crowd and the seemed to be a natural working with the Rock. Vader spent a lot of time in the match working over HBK. Eventually he was able to tag in Diesel who was able to send Vader out of the ring, but not before blind tagging in the Big Show. Big show worked over Diesel until a hot tag with the Rock. Rock was able to take out Big Show but vince broke up the pin. Rock turned his attention to Vince allowing Big Show to hit him with a choke slam. However after weeks of Vince costing him matches, Steve Austin made a run in and started beating down Vince. The Big Show went to attack Austin, but Austin hit the stunner on him. This allowed the Rock to hit the people’s elbow for the win.
Match 8: CM Punk vs Chris Jericho Vs Macho Man for the Attitude Title
Great 3-way match here with a lot of drama from all three men. In the end Jericho was able to toss Macho Man out of the ring and went to hit the break down on Punk, but Punk was able to reverse it into an andaconda lock, forcing Jericho to tap before Macho Man could break the hold.

Raw and WCW MitB PPV
Match 1: Under Rated Vs the Rhodes Brothers and Dusty
A lot of back and forth in this match. Dusty kept trying to get his hands on Ryder. Eventually Ryder and Dusty were in the ring together. Surprisingly Ryder was able to land the rough Ryder for the win.
Match 2: Shield Vs Evolution in an elimination match.
4 men were eliminated from this match, leaving the last two men being Reigns and Triple H, who battled it out for their teams victory. In the end, Reigns was able to hit a spear out of nowhere for the win.
Match 3: MitB Ladder Match: Phoenix Vs Barrett Vs Wyatt Vs Cena Vs Big E Vs Edge
The big story with this match was the return of Edge, and he didn’t waste any time going after the man that put him on the shelf for so long, Phoenix. However, during the course of the match, the rivalry that really took off was Phoenix Vs Wyatt. Every time it seemed one of those men came close to grabbing the briefcase, the other man would be the one to end it. There was a great spot where Phoenix had the briefcase in hand but Wyatt knocked the ladder over, only for Edge to grab Phoenix and hit a powerbomb on the second ladder. In the end though, Phoenix was able to grab the briefcase after once again knocking Wyatt off the ladder.
Match 4: Goldberg Vs Savage Table’s match
In the lead up to this match, both men wrestled in a submission match on Nitro 2 weeks earlier. In that match Savage focused on Goldberg’s back, while Goldberg focused on Savage’s knee. Goldberg won that match. In this match both men came out the gate with hard hitting moves. After a few minutes both men were showing that the submission match had left its mark. Goldberg was having issues lifting Savage, while at the same time Savage was clearly favoring his knee. The end came when Savage tried to hit an elbow drop from the top rope on Goldberg through a table on the outside, only for Goldberg to move at the last minute, causing Savage to crash through it. Goldberg then brought Savage to the announcer’s table, seemed to get a burst of adrenaline, and was able to lift Savage up for the Jackhammer through the table.
Match 5: Bret Hart Vs Ultimate Warrior for the #1 contendership
Bret issued this challenge as a way to earn a title shot but also because he believes that he was owed this match from way back in 1993. This match had both men showing more signs of aggression then most of their matches, a sign of hostility and of both me wanting the title show. Toward the end of the match Bret was able to hit the super plex off the top rope, and after all the other work he had done, he locked Warrior in the sharpshooter. Warrior seemed like he was going to tap for the first time in his career, but was able to get to the ropes. Once he got to the ropes and Bret released the hold warrior started shaking the ropes signaling he was getting that burst of adrenaline. He was then able to land 2 clotheslines on Bret, however as he went for a 3rd, Bret was able to reverse it into a crucifix and hold on for the 3 count, winning this match over 20 years in the making.
Match 6: Daniel Bryan Vs Kane for the WWE championship
Kane looked like he won this match at one point. After he hit a late match chokeslam Bryan was just barely able to kick out before the ref’s hand hit the mat for the third time. After that Kane still seemed to be in full control, until one mistake led to Bryan hitting the flying Knee for the win.
Match 7: Hollywood Hogan Vs DDP for the WCW title
This match went back and forth a lot. Toward the end, the outsiders made their way to the ring as DDP was in firm control. This brought out Bruno who ordered both men out of the ringside area. While he was doing this, Hogan was able to low blow DDP, and the ref and grab the WCW title. He then went to crack DDP in the head with it, only for DDP to duck and land a diamond cutter on Hogan! However the ref was still down and by the time he counted, Hogan was able to kick out. Hall and Nash then looked to push past Bruno, only for Bruno to punch both men while security pulled them apart. this confusion allowed Hogan to hit DDP with the title belt, hit the leg drop and win the match.

Raw:
The big news is MitB was considered under Rated last night as heels. Phoenix feuding with Bray Wyatt is expected to continue and a possible singles match at SummerSlam, and possible a tag title match as well between the two teams. Phoenix is expected to hold the Briefcase for a while as his face turn is complete, and possibly cash it in for a match at the Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania. Zack Ryder might possibly still work heel in a match with Dusty Rhodes at SS, or possibly in a tweener role. It still isn’t known if Dusty will have the match then or at Raw. Another issue might be timing, as WWE really wants a Under Rated/Shield program as well.
Expect Reigns and Triple H’s feud to continue, with a possible solo match at SS. Word is they might make it a 3-way with Daniel Bryan for the WWE title. While Reigns isn’t expected to win it, it would be a huge push for him being a main eventer.
Speaking of Bryan, he might be a long reigning champ due to his reactions and matches.
Big Show will be Big E’s opponent at SS. Vince is high on Big E, and wants the visual of Big Show hit with the Big Ending.
Batista and Brock Lesnar are considered a Lock for SS as well.
After his feud with Wyatt, Cena’s future is up in the air. Right now creative is trying to come up with an opponent for him. With the Rock returning soon, he might be the one. Also mentioned is Undertaker or after MitB, Edge.
Vince is also high on Wade Barrett, however he feels Wade needs some more grooming.
Attitude:
CM Punk Vs Macho Man is a lock for the SS main event. This has been in the works since May. For what it’s worth Punk has said he plans on holding the title for a while, but things can change.
A lot of work is being put in to make HBK and Diesel big time faces. Many were worried they were so over a heels this would be hard to do, but over the weeks, the friction with the corporation has been huge and also the Vader program helped HBK. They are expected to form an alliance with Razor as well.
There is some talk of splitting up the NAO for the time being. They won’t turn on each other, but creative feels like they need some time apart.
Vader is being groomed for the biggest push of his career. Vince was extremely impressed when he returned from his injury in the shape he is in. he might even become IC champ soon.
WCW:
Vince has said the NWO storyline is his main baby right now. it’s not known if we will be seeing new members, but it is said they will be hugely featured on WCW.
Ultimate Warrior is sad to be upset backstage after the PPV. Word is he believed he would be going over Hart in order to set up the rubber match with Hogan, and that HE would be leaving SS with the WCW title. According to sources this was never the plan; the Hart/Hogan match has been planned since both members started on the same brand. Sources say Warrior is mad because of his short title run, in which he thought winning the title was set to be a long run, though once again, Hogan was scheduled to win the belt last month from Kofi before Warrior won the belt.
Sting is expected to play a major part in the NWO storyline. It isn’t known yet if he will be turning heel and joining the NWO or fighting.
Cesaro is expected to have a nice run with the US title. His role is being described as more of a tweener, and that Vince wants him to fight both heels and faces.
Expect a dream match of Hogan and Bruno at some point. Bruno signing included at least one match. Not sure when that will happen but expect it by the end of the year.
Also the match fans have been wanting of Ryback Vs Goldberg is said to be on the books for SS.
ECW:
RVD’s heel turn is being considered a huge success. Both Vince and Heyman believe his run could be as good, if not better than Hunter’s last year.
Vince has been worried if Cena is ready to be a main eventer, but after MitB, he is sold on Cena. It is being reported Vince is ready to pull the trigger on Cena with the ECW title.
With that being said, Foley is not expected to win the title at SS. Some are worried that he has challenged for the title more than anyone and has yet to win it. the fear is people will stop believing in him as a threat. There is a chance he may get a quick run, but that is a small chance at this point.
Kurt Angle has received massive reviews from his performance in the tag match at MitB.
Word is a 3-way match between Vampiro and Samoa joe and Jeff Hardy is expected soon. The feeling was if Heyman had known the 2 matches between Vampiro and Joe were going to be as great as they were, and have the fans begging for more, it would have been a fatal four way match at MitB featuring Steiner.
Overall:
The big news is after SS, each brand will get their own PPV. While this was reported a few weeks ago, word is now to help sell the WWE network, each brand will get a monthly PPV. Every week a PPV would be shown. We will find out more after SS, which if this goes through, will be the last 2 joint PPVs. Wrestlemania is the biggest issue since it is numbered.
Also, while Vince loves that the long title runs have helped elevate the titles, he has also said he wants more shake ups. He has stated that a few short reigns will be good, let more people have the belt, and also let them happen on non-PPV shows, just to keep the shock going. WCW is the biggest target, feeling that there is a lot of great talent the belt could go on.
SS is expected to be filled with dream matches and huge storyline matches. Vince has said think of the biggest wrestlemania matches we could have, and write the story. There will be no holding off on SS this year.
Attitude/ECW SummerSlam PPV
Match one: Vader Vs Razor Ramon for the IC title
Vader was once again impressively brutal in this match. Razor Ramon is not a small man but Vader handled him like he was a light heavyweight. Ramon tried to make a comeback after catch Vader with a chokeslam, but Vader was able to power back. KotR winner HBK was on commentary and Vader made several gestures towards him. Vader was able to land the Vader bomb for the win and the title.
Vince greeted Vader as he walked backstage and told him how proud and more importantly impressed he was with him. Just then Lesnar walked up and Vince looked at both men and told them what a great team that would make.
Match two: Jeff Hardy Vs Vampiro for the ECW TV title
Vampiro received this title match after beating Samoa Joe in their rematch two weeks ago. This was a great match that ended when Hardy tried to connect with whisper in the wind, only for Vampiro to dodge. Vampiro was then able to land the nail in the coffin for the win and TV title. After the match, Joe came out to challenge him, only for Sid, who beat Joe last week to come out and confront both men. As the three men were arguing, Hardy jumped off the top rope and took out all three men.
Match three: Brock Lesnar Vs Taker
A very hard hitting contest, between these two men who clearly hate each other. Taker had Lesnar set up for the tombstone, only for Lesnar to reverse it into an F-5 for the win. Taker slowly got out of the ring after Lesnar left, looking disappointed in himself.
Match Four: Hunter Vs Flair in a falls count anywhere match.
These men fought in the ring for just a few minutes before taking it outside. Both men were bloody when this match was over. Both flair and Hunter worked over each other’s knees. Flair had Hunter in the figure four and it looked as if Hunter would tap, but Hunter was able to grab a chair they had used earlier in the match and bash Flair in the head with it. Hunter then locked Flair in the Figure Four, and after almost 3 minutes of fighting it, Flair had to tap out. Flair was emotional on the way back as fans chanted, “thank you flair”.
Match five: Stone Cold Vs Brian Pillman
Classic brawling in this match. These two men feuded with each other at the beginning of the year, with Pillman winning each match, even title matches, but by DQ or countout. Pillman looked to have Austin’s number and was able to connect with Air Pillman, only for Austin to barely kick out. Pillman picked Austin up for a piledriver only for Austin to reverse it and as Pillman was getting up, hit the Stunner for the win.
Match Six: RVD Vs Foley for the ECW title
Chairs, Bats, and tables were all used in this match. Foley knew how important this match was for him. It was his first singles match for the title in over a year. Foley took a lot of bumps in this match but kept fighting on. Foley was able to hit the double arm DDT on a table and looked to finally put RVD away, but somehow RVD kicked out. Eventually RVD was able to hit the five star frog splash from the top rope through the announcer’s table for the hard fought win. Fans chanted ECW ECW during the match, but when it was over they chanted FOLEY!
Match seven: CM Punk Vs Macho Man for the Attitude Championship
After months of talking about getting a one on one shot at Punk, Macho man finally got it. this match had something for everyone. Classic wrestling, brawling, high flying, and power moves. Toward the end of this match, CM Punk was able to hit a kick to Macho Man’s head seemingly knocking him out. Punk couldn’t resist going for his elbow drop seeing how Macho Man told him it was a cheap rip off. However as Punk leapt off the top rope, Macho Man rolled out of the way. As Punk got up macho man landed several right hands then hit a piledriver. The corporation then all ran out and Macho was able to knock back jarrett and owen, then HBK and Diesel along with Austin and the rock all ran out and ran off Lesnar, Vader, and Big Show. Punk was getting up, and Macho man was able to hit his scoop slam on Punk and signaled for the elbow drop. Macho man went for it, and unlike Punk, he had no issues connecting with it. a 3 count later, and Macho Man was the NEW Champion!
WCW/RAW SummerSlam
Match 1: They Wyatts Vs Under Rated with the Tag titles on the line
This 6-man match has been building since MitB. A lot of brawling in this match and the fans were hot anytime Phoenix and Wyatt were in the ring together. In the end while Ziggler and Miz were on the outside brawling with Rowen and Harper, Phoenix went for a Nervous Fear on Wyatt, only for Wyatt to hold on to the ropes. Wyatt was then able to land sister abigal for the win, which allowed Luke and Rowen to gain the tag titles.
Match 2: Cesaro Vs Jake Roberts for the WCW US title
Great match that the fans were into with a lot of back and forth action that really kept it up in the air which man might walk away with the title. In the end Cesaro sent Roberts to the ropes and as he came back, Cesaro was able to lift Jake into the air and land an uppercut as he came down. Then Cesaro hit another Uppercut after jumping off the middle rope. A neutralizer later and Cesaro was still champ.
Match 3: Big E Vs Big Show for the IC title
Big Show started out strong in this one. Big E was able to turn it around and hit two back to back splashes in the corner. As Big Show staggered out of the corner, Big E was able to set him up and hit the Big Ending for the win.
Match 4: Bret Hart Vs Hollywood Hogan for the WCW title
After years of fans wanting to see this match, as well as Bret wanting to prove he really is the best, Bret took it to Hogan in this match. Bret Started out strong and worked over Hogan’s knees and lower back. Hogan was able to land a thumb to the eye and turned the match to more brawling. After a few minutes Hart was able to mount a comeback, only for Hogan to hit a low blow behind the ref’s back. Hogan then went for the leg drop but Hart was able to catch his leg and reverse it into a Sharpshooter. Hogan looks as if he is going to tap for the first time ever, when out of nowhere Sting jumps on the apron and cracks Hart in the back with a bat causing Hart to crash to the mat. Sting runs to the back as Hogan is able to hit the leg drop on Hart for the win.
Match 5: Goldberg Vs Hall for a Last Chance match with Kevin Nash
Syxx joined Hall at ringside, and like most people figured he made sure to get involved. Goldberg was very dominating in this match. At one point he press slammed Hall out of the ring onto Syxx at ringside. When Hall made his way back in the ring, Goldberg met him with a spear. Goldberg then went for the jackhammer but Syxx jumped up on the apron. Goldberg turned his attention to him which allowed Hall to catch Goldberg with a schoolboy pin for a close 2 count. After that Hall stayed in control with a mix of submission and power moves. Hall was able to hit a second rope back suplex and signaled for an Outsider’s Edge. Goldberg was to turn that into a back body drop and immediately hit another spear. With Syxx jumped on the apron, this time Goldberg was able to land a spear on him which sent Syxx crashing into the guard rail. Goldberg then hit the jackhammer for the win.
Match 6: Sting and Luger Vs The Perfect Family for the WCW tag titles
Backstage on the way out Sting walks up to Luger who seems annoyed. Luger looks at Sting and asks him why he would join the NWO. Sting looks confused and says he has been in the dressing room watching tapes on Perfect and Axel all night and has no idea what he is talking about. Luger just walks off shaking his head.
During this match Lugar seems very hesitant to tag in with Sting. Sting spends a good amount of time in the ring beat down until finally making the hot tag and letting Luger comes in and clean house. After a few minutes Luger tags in Sting and they finally seem to be on the same page. Sting is taking it to Perfect while Luger clotheslines Axel to the outside, but his momentum takes him out as well. Sting hits a Stinger Splash in the corner, while Bret Hart runs out from the back with a baseball bat. As Sting goes to lock Perfect into the Scorpion Death Lock Perfect is able to push him back, which when Sting bounces off the ropes Hart cracks him in the back with his bat. Sting stumbles forward and Perfect is able to hit the Perfect-Plex for the win and the tag team titles.
Match 7: Daniel Bryan Vs Triple H Vs Roman Reigns for the WWE championship
This match came about after Triple H was put into a title match against Bryan by Raw GM and Triple H’s wife Stef. Roman Reigns was put after beating Bryan in a non-title match. Reigns really wanted a one on one match with Triple H so he attacked him weekly until he was until he was added.
This was a hard hitting triple threat match. The fans were really into and cheering for Reigns in this match. Triple H played the role of a heel to perfection, while Bryan was able to keep the match going at a face pace. Triple was able to stay in control a lot of the match. Toward the end Triple H was able to bust Bryan open with a Pedigree threw the announcers table. In the end, Triple H was able to land the Pedigree on Reigns, only to turn around to a Knee Plus from Bryan for the win. Bryan was having trouble standing, and turned around to another pedigree from Triple H, the Reigns speared Triple H from out of nowhere. As Reigns and Triple H was separated at ringside, all of a sudden Logan Phoenix’s music hit! Phoenix run to the ring and gave the ref his MitB briefcase and said he was cashing in. Phoenix was able to hit his signature slam and then went for the Nervous Fear, but Bryan was able to reverse it into a backslide pin, for a close 2 count. Phoenix attacked Bryan some more and went for a clothesline, only for Bryan to turn that into a YES lock in the center of the ring. Phoenix was close to tapping but was able to roll through for a close 2 count as well. After a few more minutes of back and forth action Bryan was able to land several hard kicks and even hit a Knee Plus, but Phoenix was able to put his foot on the ropes to stop the pin attempt. Bryan then threw Phoenix into the corner and went for his corner dropkick, only for Phoenix to move and Bryan to crash into the corner. Phoenix then was able to hit a tombstone piledriver off the 2nd rope. Somehow Bryan was still able to kick out at 2.9! Phoenix was able to get to his feet and as Bryan slowly got up, Phoenix was able to connect with the nervous fear for the win and the WWE championship!

Raw:
The Idea of Phoenix winning the WWE title has been the plan since MitB. The Face turn was done to throw everyone off so it seemed like a big deal. A one on one match with Wyatt is still being considered, but more than likely the rumored Shield program will go ahead soon, most likely at Hell in a Cell PPV.
Reigns and Triple H will have a one on one match next month. Many people expect Reigns to go over as they are building him to be the next big face of the company.
Cena is expected to return soon. he was supposed to have a match at SummerSlam, but at MitB he suffered a concussion so he was sent home for the month. It’s been said it was a slight one, but no chances were taken.
Rock and Undertaker are said to be ready to return soon.
The Wyatt family is expect to feud with the Usos, Rhodes Brothers, or PTP.
Big E once again impressed a lot of people backstage. At this point he could be looking at a long run with the title.
Attitude:
Vader is expected to feud with HBK now. this feud is expected to be a way of showing Vader’s dominance. HBK is expect to walk away from the feud the as one of the top babyfaces of the company. Expect Diesel and Razor to play a part in this as well.
Diesel and Razor have also been mentioned to be taking on Jarrett and Owen to shake up the tag scene.
Stone cold and The Rock might be started a face vs face feud soon as well. Jericho is expected to start a feud as well with possibly Pillman.
Ken Shamrock is back in action and should be returning in the next few weeks.
Kane and Taker are expected to start a tag team as well.
CM Punk’s feud with Macho Man is not over, expect Macho to stay champ and possibly feud with Lesnar next.
WCW:
The biggest news out of WCW is the Sting story. A lot of people were surprised by Sting seemingly turning heel. This may also be a huge serve to set a new story up with him against the NWO, but last night it was hard to deny Sting turned heel. A lot of people believe Luger will be his main target after Bret Hart at the next PPV, and at the next PPV is where Sting will fully show he is heel with the NWO.
Also there is a lot of chatter that the rumored Bruno/Hogan match might take place next month at WCW’s first PPV. There was a lot of talk of holding this match off till later, but the belief is this would be a huge sell. With that being said, Bruno’s contract has a very small amount of wrestling dates; many believe it will be a onetime match. Any other matches may be at house shows to get the ring rust off.
The final Goldberg/Nash match will also happen at the PPV. More than likely it will be a Hell in a Cell match. It is also being said this will be the blow off match. Goldberg is expected to start a feud with Ryback, while Hall and Nash are expected to go after the tag titles. The reason the Goldberg/Ryback match didn’t happen at summerslam was due to Ryback suffering a knee issue. He is expected back within 5 weeks. Nash missed out of SummerSlam due to a concussion he suffered at a house show.
Cesaro is getting a ton of praise backstage. Jake Roberts is also receiving a good share of praise as well. There was some talk of putting the belt on Jake, but the belief is Cesaro needs the belt for now.
Warrior is set to return soon as well. There isn’t anyone set in stone for him to feud with; it could possibly be Rick Rude.
ADR, DDP, and Yoko have all been made a priority by Vince. He is not a fan of them sitting with nothing to do. That being said, a DDP/Giant feud has been discussed.
Word is Heath Slater is in for a run with the cruiserweight title soon. In fact, 3MB in general might all get pushes.
ECW:
Word in the back is Vince was very close to calling an audible during the RVD/Foley match at the PPV and have Foley win the title. Heyman was seen almost begging Vince for the shakeup. Vince is still high on RVD and wants to make sure ECW has a major heel. Vince is sold on RVD’s heel turn, but at the same time isn’t sure it would work without the title since he is a sellout. No word on who will be feuding with RVD or Foley next month.
Vampiro Vs Samoa Joe is expected to happen at the PPV for the TV title. It would be the rubber match for them. Also since Sid pinned Joe clean, it might end up a 3 way match and save the rubber match for later.
Sid is expected to be a huge presence in ECW. There is rumors that if the 3 way match doesn’t happen, Sid will feud with new comer kevin steen.
Steiner is expect to get a one on one match against either Arn or Angle at the PPV, while Hunter and Flair are expected to have a rematch as well. Backstage everyone has been impressed with the two horsemen groups, and as of now there isn’t any reason to stop the feud.

Overall:
The SummerSlam PPVs were considered a success, but at the same time pointed out why the WWE is pushing with the four PPVs. several feuds were left off the cards and some matches were shortened. Starting the first week of September each brand will have one PPV a month. The Order will be ECW, Attitude, WCW, and finally Raw. The idea is now each brand will have 7 matches to fill, which will in turn allow more superstars a chance to be on the PPV. Also this helps sell Network since there is more reason than ever to get it.
The talk of adding more titles to shows is really just the Internet title of Ryders will be used more, Attitude might use either the European or Hardcore title, WCW will stay with the cruiserweight title, and ECW may take on the NXT title as a way to bring up the new comers. This hasn’t been decided fully yet.

Match one: Goldust Vs JBL
This match had not really gotten started when ADR came out of nowhere and landed a hard kick to Goldust’s head. This allowed JBL to get the pin and the win. Looks like ADR is joining Money INC
Match two: Dolph Ziggler Vs Seth Rollins
In the first ever match between a Shield member and a member from Under Rated, these two men gave it their all. It was contested under extreme rules and in the end, Ziggler was able to get the pin after a chair shot.
Match three: Big E Vs Fandango for the IC title
Big E made very quick work of Fandango to hold on to his IC title
Match four: Batista (with Triple H) Vs Roman Reigns
Batista stepped in between Reigns and Triple H backstage and said before Reigns could get to Triple H, he had to get through him. In the match it was back and forth until Reigns was able to hit the superman punch. Batista looked out at that moment. Triple H then jumped on the apron to distract Reigns, but Reigns was able to spear Triple H off. Reigns however, turned around to a spear from Batista, who then hit a Batista Bomb for the win.
Backstage we see the Rock walk in after a few months away. He walks right up to Renee grabs the mic, and says, “Finally…” but is cut off by an attack from the Wyatt family. Bray grabs the mike and tells rock that the lies he spreads of being a champion of the people have forced Wyatt’s hand.
Match five: Cena vs Barrett
This match seems to be going in Cena’s favor until the beast Brock Lesnar shows up and F-5’s Cena. This allows Barrett to get the win. It may have been cheap, but Barrett is starting to get on a roll
Match Six: Jericho and Edge Vs The Wyatt Family
This was a tough match for the newly formed Edge and Jericho team. However both former world champions were able to turn things around late in the match. That’s not to say Harper and Rowan were push overs. The tag team champs were destructive against Jericho and Edge. In the end however, Jericho caught Rowan with a Codebreaker that edge followed up with a spear for the win.
Raw Is War
Match one: Ken Shamrock Vs Brian Pillman vs Edge
Great fast paced match between these three men. All three men were able to hit their finishers at some point. The end came when Edge was able to spear Shamrock. As Edge staggered to his feet, Pillman was able to hit Air Pillman on Edge. Pillman then went for the pin, however Shamrock grabbed his ankle and locked in the ankle lock forcing Pillman to tap out for the win.
Match two: Brock Lesnar Vs Diesel
In this match Big Show was in Lesnar’s corner, and Razor Ramon was in Diesel’s. This was a taste of the tag team match that is set for the NoC PPV in two weeks. Lesnar was able to maintain control for the majority of the match, keeping Diesel down with power move after power move. On the outside Big show looked to be stalking Razor, until Razor took it to Big Show. As Big Show was backing up the entryway Lesnar was distracted allowing Diesel to take some control. Later in the match, Big Show came back out and attacked Razor with a chair. In the ring, Diesel had Lesnar set up for the jackknife, but was distracted. This allowed Lesnar to hit the F-5 for the win.
Match three: Tons of Funk Vs Legion of Doom
The return of the Legion of Doom in this match. Both Animal and Hawk looked in great shape. Both teams showed impressive team work and strength. However in the end Hawk was set up on the top rope while Animal was trying to lift Clay on his shoulders. Animal seemed to hurt his back and dropped to his knees. Hawk still went for the flying clothesline but Clay was able to catch him and turn it into a belly to belly suplex for the win.
Match four: The Rock Vs Vader
This match was a non-title match. Both Vader and Rock looked impressive in this match. Rock was in control and even hit the Rock Bottom, only for Vince’s music to hit. This distraction allowed Vader to gain the upper hand and even hit a power bomb. Vader drug Rock to the corner to set up the Vader bomb, only for HBK to pop out from under the ring and land a SCM on Vader behind the ref’s back. This allowed Rock to get the win.
Match five: Road dogg Vs Owen Hart
There is still a lot of bad blood between these two men after Hart and Jarrett were able to win the tag titles from the NAO. Road dogg started strong but a low blow turned things around for Hart who worked over Dogg’s legs the majority of the match. Just as Owen was locking Dogg in the sharpshooter, Taker came riding out on his bike. This caused Owen to freak out, which Dogg took advantage of and rolled him up with a school boy for the win.
Match six: CM Punk Vs Jericho in a ladder match for the #1 contendership
Great ladder match with a ton of dangerous spots. Jericho looked like he might win the match but in the end Punk was able to throw Jericho off the top of the ladder and grab the contract for the win.
Match seven: Kane Vs Savage
This match started very competitive but outside interference ruined it for the fans. Kane had Savage set up for the chokeslam but Jarrett and Owen came rushing out. Savage and kane both fought them off. Kane was then slammed by Savage who went to the top rope for the elbow drop. CM Punk then came out and pushed Savage down. Taker came out and slammed Punk threw the announcer’s table. In the inside Kane recovered enough to land a chokeslam on Savage for the upset win.
WCW
Match one: Christian Vs Bret Hart
This was a great match with these two sound veterans. Sadly toward the end Hart had Christian locked in the sharpshooter but before he could tap, Sting once again appeared and whacked Hart with a baseball bat. The ref or Christian didn’t see this though, and Christian crawled over and scored the pin.
After the match Bret grabbed a mic and told Bruno that he needs to listen up. this is the second time Sting has done this and he has had enough. Hart wants Bruno to set up a one on one match for the NoC PPV this month.
Bruno comes out and says that after Sunday night he agrees that Bret should get a shot at Sting, and after what happened earlier Bruno is granting the Match at NoC. Bret promises to teach Sting a lesson for the WCW fans, Bruno, and all the boys in the back who are sick of the NWO. With that we see Sting come out which causes Bret to chase after him. Bruno then Calls out Hollywood Hogan. Hogan comes out with Hall, Nash, and Syxx. Bruno tells Hogan that he warned him of what would happen if he played any tricks to beat Hart. Hogan asks what Bruno is going to do about it, to which Bruno says that for years he wondered what it would be like to finally get his hands on Hogan, and now is his chance. So at NoC its Bruno Vs Hogan for the WCW title! Hogan then says he would like to welcome Bruno back to wrestling the NWO way, which leads to the NWO attacking and beating down Bruno. They spray paint NWO on his back as they leave.
Match 2: Dusty Rhodes Vs Ric Flair (with Bobby Heenan)
Dusty Rhodes comes out to a great pop from fans. He says that it is time for the American Dream to set WCW on fire. That brings out Flair who says that this is his country. The match between them had the fans hanging on every move. Flair was able to lock in the figure four on Rhodes, but Rhodes was able to reverse it. Dusty ran the ropes and Bobby tried to trip him, only for Rhodes to hit him with a Bionic Elbow. Flair tried to take advantage of this, but Dusty was able to drop the bow on him as well for the win.
Match 3: Lex Lugar Vs Mr Perfect
In a rematch between the two from SummerSlam in a one on one match, Lugar was able to pull off the win with the torture rack for the win.
Match 4: Yoko Vs Cesaro
Cesaro is slowly turning face and the fans at the arena were behind him in this match. He was able to hit the slingshot uppercut, and in an amazing show of strength he was able to lift Yoko for the neutralizer. Before he could hit the move Fuji jumped up causing him to let Yoko go. He we over to him and grabbed Fuji but before he could attack him, Yoko grabbed him and hit a devastating belly to belly. Yoko then was able to follow that up with a leg drop then the Bonzi drop for the non-title win.
Match 5: Sheamus Vs Ultimate Warrior
This was a great match between to very strong men. Both men seemed to refuse to stay down for long. Rick Rude changed the course of the match as he ran in and was able to hit Warrior with the Rude Awakening. This allowed Sheamus the win. Afterward Warrior chased Rude to the back.
Match 6: Hogan Vs DDP (non-title)
In a rematch from Money in the Bank DDP once again was doing everything he could to prove to the wrestling world he deserved to be a contender to the WCW title. DDP was able to hit the diamond cutter, only for Hall to crack him the back of the head with the WCW title.

Match one: Jeff Hardy Vs Bo Dallas
Tonight NXT Champion is the first member of the NXT to join ECW. This was a great showing for the champ, however, Hardy was able to land the swanton for the win.
Match 2: ICP vs 3D
In an amazing match 3D was able to get the win. The big story here is how much ICP has grown as a team over the last year.
Match 3: Eddie and Dean Vs the Horsemen (Austin Aries and Bobby Rhoode)
This was for the #1 contendership for the Tag Titles. Great match full of scientific wrestling as well as high spots. The end came AA held Dean up for the brainbuster, only for Dean to be able to come down and roll AA up in a small package for the win
Match 4: Scott Steiner Vs Arn Anderson
AA looked to have this match won until he went for his spinebuster. At that point Steiner was able to reverse it into a belly to belly suplex. He then hit the Steiner Screwdriver. AA was out but to make a point he locked AA into the Steiner recliner for the submission win.
Flair comes out and chases Steiner out of the ring. Flair says he can’t take what happened at SS so he wants to see who is the man. At NoC he wants a loser leaves ECW match with Hunter in a Hell in a Cell match! Hunter comes out and says it’s time to take out the flair cancer from ECW, it’s time to take back his spot, its time to take back his title, and it’s time to play the game!
Match 5: Samoa Joe Vs Sammy Zayn
In another NXT debut Sammy Zayn took it to Samoa Joe. Sadly for Sammy he was locked in the rear naked choke and had to tap.
Match 6: Sid Vs Tazz
In an interesting match pitting the giant Sid Vs the smaller Tazz. Tazz put up a great fight and took it to Sid, but in the end a powerbomb from Sid put Tazz away.
Match 7: RVD Vs Foley
In one of the greatest upsets in ECW history, Mick Foley was able to get the win following a double arm DDT onto the chair RVD attempted to hit the Vandaminator with. Heyman was shocked as the fans were chanting Foley!
ECW PPV: Night of Champions
Match one: Hell in a Cell Ric Flair Vs Hunter
In the first match of the evening these two men fought all over the cell. Hunter dominated much of the start of the match. Flair was able to mount a comeback, only for Hunter to catch Flair with a Spinebuster that went through the cage wall. The men ended up fight on the top of the cell, where Hunter tried to hit a pedigree on Flair, only for Flair to turn it into a back drop. Flair then went on the offensive which had Hunter backing up. While hunter was trying to climb down the cage, Flair stomped his hands causing Hunter to let go of the cage and fall through the announcers table. When they got in the ring, Flair began working Hunter’s leg. Hunter was somehow able to hit a pedigree, only for Flair to kick out at 2. Hunter grabbed a chair and tried to hit Flair with it but flair was able to hit a low blow, and then landed a chairshot to Hunter’s leg and knee. Flair then locked in the figure four, and to the surprise of everyone, Hunter tapped out.
Match 2: Bo Dallas Vs Kevin Steen Vs Sammy Zayn for the NXT title
In a great match featuring the rookies, Kevin Steen was able to win the title after an impact piledriver on Dallas
Match 3: Eddie and Dean Vs 3D for the ECW tag titles
In a great table elimination match Eddie and Dean were able to win the ECW tag titles. A great spot happened after Devon was eliminated from the match. Bully had Dean set up on the table but Eddie jumped from the top rope, over the table onto Bully, who caught him and sent him crashing through another table eliminating Eddie. Bully looked to be setting up a Bully bomb, but Dean was able to catch him at the turnbuckle and send Bully through the table via a powerbomb.
Match 4: Sid Vs Tazz
In a rematch from TV, Tazz and Sid once again went to battle. This time Sid firmly controlled Tazz until Sid hit the chokeslam. Tazz was able kick out. This led Sid to trying another chokeslam which Tazz reversed into the Tazzmission. After fighter Sid had no choice but to tap out.
Match 5: Vampiro Vs Samoa Joe for the ECW TV title
Vampiro defended his title against Joe in what would be the rubber match in their great series of matches. Fans were expected a lot, and these men delivered it. Vampiro was able to hit the Nail in the Coffin for the win surprising a lot of people.
Match 6: Cena Vs Aj Styles
This was a match between two of ECW’s brightest young stars. Aj took to the ropes several times and landed some big gamble moves. Cena kept things more grounded and landed more power moves. In the end, AJ went for a top rope move, only for Cena to catch him and land an AA for the win.
Match 7: Foley Vs RVD for the ECW title with Angle as ref
While most people thought that with Foley’s and Angle’s past issues Angle would not call it down the middle, Angle did a fair job as ref. However, late in this hard hitting match Foley was able to kick out of the 5 star frogsplash, which cause RVD to question Angle’s ref ability. Later Foley ducked when RVD threw him a chair, which Angle caught. RVD could have let it go, but he still hit Angle with a Vandaminator, Knocking Angle out. RVD then was able to land a few moves on Foley. As Angle was recovering, RVD went to the top rope for a frogsplash. This time when he landed it though, Foley was able to lock in the mandible claw. As soon as Angle seen this he called for the bell saying RVD tapped, screwing RVD. RVD and Angle had to be separated by other refs.

Match 1: Ziggler Vs Rollins Vs Big E for the IC title
Three of the best newcomers in the company were giving it everything they had for the IC title in this match. Big E looked great in this match and it seemed like he was going to retain his title after hitting the Big Ending on Ziggler, only as he was getting back to his feet, Rollins was able to land the Curb Stomp. As Rollins was trying to roll the big guy over to pin him, Ziggler flipped over him locking him in a cradle type pin for the win and the IC title.
After the match all of Under Rated came out to the ring to celebrate. Phoenix grabbed the IC title off of Ziggler’s shoulder and held it up. He told the fans that this is the proof. Under Rated have the WWE, IC, and the Internet title. All were won with hard work and skill. He then told Ziggler to allow me, and put the title around Ziggler’s waist. That’s when Bryan came out and said attacking someone after a match isn’t hard work, and at NoC he wants his rematch. Phoenix offered to give him a nontitle match tonight, just to show him what he was in for at NoC.
Match 2: Chris Jericho Vs Bray Wyatt
Jericho was pushing the new coming to the very edge until Wyatt was able to land a huge clothesline that turned the tide of the match. Wyatt even had Jericho set for sister abigal until the Rock’s music hit and the run ran out and jumped on the apron. This distraction was all it took for Jericho to turn it into a school boy for the win.
Match 3: Sandow Vs Triple H
Stef made this match earlier in the show as Triple H wanted a warm up match to show Reigns what was in store for him in a few weeks. As expected, Triple H was making short work of Sandow. The fans were solidly behind Sandow, who seems to be in the middle of a face turn. Triple H nearly was hit with Sandow’s finisher, only to hit the pedigree. That’s when Reigns jumped in the ring and landed a huge superman punch while Orton was on the other side trying to get the ref to look. By the time the ref did, Sandow had the pin.
Match 4: Big show Vs Lesnar
Lesnar was a beast in this match. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen the Big Show dominated like this, if ever. However, in payback from last week Cena was able to sneak in and land an AA causing a DQ.
Match 5: Nattie Vs Brie Vs Kaitlyn for the Diva’s title
Decent Divas title match. Kaitlyn was putting the belt on the line and the other two girls were fighting hard to win it. Kaitlyn hit a spear on Brie, but before she could get the pin, Nattie hit a clothesline on her and locked in the sharpshooter on Brie for the win and new Divas title.
Match 6: Edge Vs Miz with Ryder
Great match between two former WWE champions here. The Miz seemed to have Edge wrapped up in the SCF, but Edge was able to get out and push Miz into Ryder who was on the apron. When Miz stumbled back around, Edge was able to hit the spear for the win.
Match 7: Phoenix Vs Bryan
Phoenix came and seemed to be mad at Miz and Ryder. He told them no shame in a well fought loss but that was pathetic as he had Edge beat. Next week Ryder would be defending his title. As he did this in the ring with Miz and Ryder on the ramp, Phoenix didn’t notice Bryan come in from the crowd. Phoenix turned around to set his WWE title out of the ring, when BAM, the flying knee from Bryan! A pin fall later and Bryan had won the match as Raw went off theair.

Sting over sting it was finally revealed that Sting had not turned to the NWO, but in fact, the NWO had someone dressed like Sting. The Real Sting destroyed the fake sting as he was trying to again attack Bret Hart. Sting, who was now dressed in black and white, picked up the fake stings bat and pointed it at Bret. Sting said that since WCW and all his “friends” were so quick to accuse him, he was no longer WCW. Sting said he is now a free agent.

DDP seemed very motivated tonight after last week’s loss to Hogan. Cesaro was by no means going easy on him since the US champ also lost last week to Yokozuna. Both men gave it their all and the fans were cheering for both men. In the end, Cesaro went for a slingshot uppercut, only for DDP to turn it into a diamond cutter out of nowhere for the win.

In what would be Bruno’s first match in years, he called out Macho Man as a warm up match. Both men were evenly matched. Both men had moments that looked like they were going to get the win. In the end, MM had Bruno laid out and went for a elbow drop, only for Bruno to move out of the way. Hogan ran out and tried to get in the ring but Bruno was able to knock him off the apron. When MM ran up to Bruno, Bruno was able to lift him up in a backbreaker, and after a few seconds, MM tapped out.

This match was made as a way to show the shield how evolution was the better team. The end came when Orton went for the RKO but Ambrose pushed him off and hit the Dirty Deeds for the win.
Ryder over Sandow for internet
Sandow was chosen to get the shot at Ryder that Phoenix ordered after the Miz lost last week. This was one of the best matches of either mans careers. In the end however, as close as Sandow was to winning, and Rough Ryder was enough to put him away. Phoenix came out to the ring and shook Ryder’s and Miz’s hand and told them that was what he expected.

Bryan over Phoenix
Phoenix looked to get some payback from last week over Bryan in this match. In this 20 min match neither man seemed to be better than the other as they battled on. Phoenix even managed to dodge the Flying Knee and hit the nervous fear, although Bryan was somehow able to kick out. Phoenix went for a middle rope tombstone but before he was able to land it Bryan was able to knock him down, with Phoenix tumbling to the outside. Phoenix tried but could not make it back in the ring before the count of 10, giving Bryan his second victory over the champ.

In a crazy show of strength, Diesel was able to hit Big Show with a Jacknife for the win. After the match in the corporation’s locker room, Vince was extremely upset with Big Show. Vince tells Big Show that he should be the muscle of the group, but he is just a waste. Punk is seen shaking his head to which point Vince tells him that losing two time to Savage is even worse. He tells Punk Triple H in his first night has done more that Punk has in months, even when he was the champ. Punk goes to talk but Vince stops him and says Big Show might be a waste, but Punk is turning into a bitch!

Razor and Jericho were having a match for Jericho’s European title when for some reason Triple H ran out from the crowd and threw Jericho out of the ring. He then attacked Razor with several spinebusters and a pedigree.

Cena was very upset that even though Foley was beaten down earlier in the night and lost the ECW title, Heyman would make him wrestle Cena as the main event. Cena looked to be taking it easy on Foley but after a few minutes Foley snapped and did his clothesline over the tope rope on Cena. After that it was Foley was a man possessed and he went truly hardcore. However once it got back in the ring, Cena was able to lock in the STF, causing Foley to almost pass out before getting to the ropes. Cena told Foley to stay down, but Foley locked in the mandible claw, which Cena was able to reverse into the AA for the win.
WCW Night of Champions PPV
Sheamus pinned MM with Elizabeth
Sheamus and Macho Man had a war in this match. Both men seemed determined to get the win. MM leapt off the top rope trying to land a double axe handle, but Sheamus was able to catch him and turn it into a white noise. Sheamus then hit the Irish Curse, but Elizabeth was on the apron distracting the ref. MM was able to get up and hit a scoop slam on Sheamus. It looked as if MM was going for the elbow drop but Sheamus was able to get to his feet. When MM leapt of the top rope again, Sheamus met him with a Brogue Kick for the win.
Kalistro pinned syxx
Justin was unable to compete due to a knee injury so Syxx called out any cruiserweight for a match. New comer Kalistro took up the challenge. After 10 mins of back and forth fast action, Kalistro was able to hit a swanton off the top rope for the pin. The place exploded and the ref handed Kalistro the title. Syxx grabbed the mic and said that he never said he was putting the title on the line. Syxx was handed the title and walked off as the fans booed.

The end came in this evenly fought battle when DDP tried to sunset flip Cesaro for a 3 count but Cesaro reversed it and almost pinned DDP. DDP then ran at Cesaro only for Cesaro to lift him and on the way down hit the Uppercut for the win

Hogan beat Bruno
Two of the biggest legends in the history of this sport locked up over the WCW title. Bruno looked great for this comeback match, and Hogan also was at the top of his game. Bruno was able to lock in the bear hug a few times, and right when it seemed like Hogan was going to tap, he was able to push the ref down. Bruno dropped Hogan to check on the ref, at which point Hogan hit a low blow. Hogan then threw Bruno to the ropes and hit the big boot and leg drop for the win.
Dirt Sheet
The Goldberg/Nash feud is considered over. Backstage there was talk about having Nash go over, but the decision was made to have Goldberg win since it would allow a satisfying ending to the feud for fans and also set up Goldberg/Hogan for the title. It’s believed Goldberg never had a problem losing to Nash due to the way the story was played out and how not only would he get the “big” win but also be in line for a title shot and possibly a run with the belt.
Bruno might have another match or two over the next few months as reports are everyone backstage was impressed with how great he looked in the match. At the same time, while Bruno did want a match, he is perfectly happy in his GM role.
A lot of praise was given to MM and Sheamus. Their match was unexpected and was only added to the card at the last minute to give both men something to do. MM requested to work with Sheamus while Sheamus was still injured. We do know that Sheamus tweaked his knee following the winning brogue kick, but its said it is not serious, nothing was torn. At most he will not wrestle this week.
Cesaro has once again preformed above what people expected. Talk is he going to be Sting’s next opponent. This may have been the reason Sting attacked him in his match with Hogan.
The reason Syxx lost but did not drop the title was because officials feel that Kalistro is a future star, but he is not there yet. With this being his first real WWE match, the fear was if he won the title without fans really knowing who he was, it would hurt him in the long run.

Shield beat evolution
This was tag match between Reigns and Ambrose and Triple H and Randy Orton. Triple H was able to gain the advantage over Reigns for a majority of the match, until Dean was able to tag in with a blind tag. This led to Orton getting tagged in as well. The end came when Reigns was able to gather himself and hit the superman punch on Triple H that sent him over the top rope. Reigns turned around was hit with the powerslam by Orton who then started making motions of hitting his RKO. However, Ambrose was able to come up from behind and hit the Dirty Deeds on Orton for the win. Outside the ring Batista walked up looking upset. He looked up at the shield celebrating and at Triple H and told him to get it together.

After the match Cody had to be helped back. From the looks of hit Cody hurt his arm after he landed with the disaster kick. Word is the tag match at the PPV is off. The Uso’s have been added against JBL and ADR

Backstage Under Rated was in a group meeting. Phoenix pointed out that last its important they all keep it together. They have shown the world how great each of them are. He looked at Miz and told him not to let his injury bother him, soon he well get another chance to show everyone how under rated he is as well.

In the last non title match before their title match, Phoenix told everyone he had something to prove. Ziggler stayed behind after his match to stand in Phoenix’s corner. Phoenix had a great showing in this match but Bryan was able to make a great comeback. Bryan went for his kick combo and Ziggler jumped on the apron distracting the ref. however as he did this, Phoenix was able to catch Bryan in a roll up. Bryan was on the mat for much longer than a 3 count but the ref didn’t see it. Phoenix got up and shouted at Ziggler. Bryan tried to hit the flying knee, but Phoenix side stepped him. Phoenix then went for the Nervous Fear only for Bryan to reverse it into a pin for the win. Afterwards Phoenix and Ziggler seemed to have words.

After the bell rang for the no contest, Triple H grabbed the European title and threw it on Jericho. He told Jericho to keep the belt warm for him. Then he walked over to Razor and lifted his head and told him that this was what happens when you cross the boss.
HBK beat Vader with a Roll Up
HBK looked to prove he could be Vader and get a rematch for the IC title. Vader dominated a large portion of the match, but HBK was able to take advantage of Vader missing a splash and get the roll up.
Lesnar destroyed Road Dogg
Macho man was on commentary but did not seem worried about Lesnar. After the match Lesnar waved MM into the ring, which erupted into a brawl. Owen and Jarrett ran down to help gang up on MM, but BOD followed.

Owen was able to get the win following Lesnar running back out and hitting Kane with a steel chair as taker was fighting off Jarrett. MM came out after the bell and took it to Lesnar again.

Goldberg beat hogan for title
Bruno Starts the show and admits that at the PPV Hogan was able to get the dirty win. Bruno said that since he lost he cannot in good faith give himself another title shot tonight. This makes Hogan smile as he comes to the ring. Bruno then says but Goldberg won his match, so right now it’s Hogan Vs Goldberg! Hogan’s shock was too much for him and Goldberg was able to win in under 5 mins with a spear and jackhammer.
After the match was over the NWO ran out. Hogan grabbed the mic and says he has to approve all title matches per his contract. Bruno says the match was made deal with it. Hogan says if he doesn’t his way he will sue for Bruno’s job. Goldberg grabs and mic and says he will beat Hogan again tonight. This leads to Nash saying Goldberg will have to get through him and Hall to get the Hogan match. Hogan jumps in and says if anyone beats Goldberg, Hogan regains the title. This makes Hall and Nash look cross at Hogan but turn back to Goldberg. Bruno is upset that he put Goldberg in this position but Goldberg accepts.

Phoenix looked shaken up put as he turned around to leave Roman Reigns appeared out of nowhere with a spear. He grabbed a mic and told Phoenix that in the next few weeks, the shield will prove they are the true alpha males.

Billy Gunn and Shamrock pushed each other to the limit trying to get a shot at Jericho’s title. Billy went for a Famasser late in the match but Shamrock was able to duck and land a belly to belly for a close 2 count. A few minutes later Billy was able to land the Famasser for the win
Match 5: Vader Vs HBK
In a hardcore title match, Vader was once again able to beat HBK with a power bomb. After the match HBK looked very dejected.
Match 6: Lesnar VS Macho Man
More of a brawl than a match, Lesnar and Macho were trying to destroy each other. Macho tried to come off the top rope, but Lesnar was able to counter into the F-5 for the win
The Rock called out Vince over the fact that Vince ducked out of there match and had Triple H replace him. Tensions got heated and Rock looked to Rock Bottom Vince when CM Punk came out of nowhere and attacked The Rock. After a beat down, Rock was laid out. The show ended with Punk helping Vince up, but there was still tension between the two men.

Match one: Curtis Axel Vs Roddy Piper
Roddy was about to put Axel away until Curt Henning came out and distracted him. With Piper distracted, Axel was able to get a school boy pin on him for the win.
Match two: Outsiders Vs Luger and DDP
Outsiders won when Hall gave DDP a low blow that allowed Nash to hit the power bomb.
Match three: Randy Savage Vs Kalistro
The young cruiserweight kalistro fought hard, but after losing to Sheamus at the PPV, and Piper last week, Savage was not going to lose again. Savage won with a flying elbow drop.
Match four: Ryback Vs Ricky Steamboat
This was a great match featuring the veteran Steamboat Vs the young gun Ryback. Both men looked equally impressive against each other. Steamboat almost pulled off the win with a flying cross body block but Ryback was able to catch him and land the Shellshock for the win.
Match five: The Giant Vs Justin Gabriel
The Giant towered over Gabriel during this match, almost no selling any of the cruiserweight champions moves. Toward the end however Gabriel was able to attack the Giants knee and with several high risk moves he had the Giant on the ground. This was short lived as Syxx ran in the ring and hit the X-Factor on Gabriel, allowing the Giant to then hit the Chokeslam for the win.
Match Six: Goldberg VS Yoko
World Champion Goldberg looked impressive against the almost 600 pound Yoko. Yoko looked impressive as well as he was able to bring the fight to Goldberg. Hogan made his way out to the ring, but before he could do anything Goldberg was able to hit the spear. Then Goldberg pointed at Hogan and in one of the biggest shows of strength, lifted the massive Yoko for the Jackhammer and with that, the win.
Cesaro attacked sting to close the show. Sting looked to be explaining his actions but before he could say anything Cesaro attack him from behind. Fans were torn on who to root for, but the attacked ended with Cesaro hitting an uppercut to leave Sting laid out as the show went off the air.

Paul Heyman has announced on WWE.com that starting at this upcoming ECW PPV, his client, Brock Lesnar is challenging every brand to pick one opponent to face Lesnar at their PPV this month. Heyman went on to tell the WWE universe that after last Sundays RAW PPV, Lesnar is not out to prove once and for all, he is truly the untamed beast of the WWE. Heyman added that after Lesnar has defeated every brands appointed challenger, he will then be able to sit at his throne as the true king of kings of the WWE. Heyman finished the announcement by saying that for his show ECW this Sunday, the undefeated Chris Benoit will challenge Lesnar.

Match one: Sammy Zayn Vs Kevin Steen for NXT title
After trying over the last few weeks to wrestle away the NXT title and prove he really is deserving of the belt, Zayn was able to put away the undefeated Steen and win the NXT title. To get the pin, Zayn hit a top rope brain buster for the win.
Match two: 3D Vs Shooter in a TLC for tag titles
Great match that in one word could be described as brutal. Both teams took a lot of punishment with all men at some point going through a table. The end came with Bully Ray was able to suplex Dean from the top rope to the outside, while Devon was able to belly to back Eddie off the top of the ladder. Bully was able to climb the ropes and grab the belts after that.
Match Three: Lesnar Vs Benoit
In the first of the Lesnar challenge matches, Chris Benoit was not looking to be just a victim to Lesnar. However, Lesnar is not the beast that can be easily knocked down. Both men hit several suplexes on each other and both men came close to forcing the other man to tap out. In the end however, Lesnar was fight out of the crossface and hit an F-5 for the win.

Jeff fought for all he was worth against this monster Sid. Sadly for Hardy, the former TV champ couldn’t pull off the win.
Match five: AJ Vs Vampiro for TV title
This match almost went the 30 time limit that how close and how hard these two men fought. Vampiro was able to catch AJ doing the jumping DDT and turn it into the nail in the coffin but AJ kicked out. In the end, AJ was able to hit the Styles clash for the win.

Angle wanted to prove he deserved to be back in the title hunt, and RVD want to prove he wasn’t a fluke as champ, and get revenge for Angle screwing him out of his title match. This match had fans chanting and standing almost the whole match. RVD was able to hit the frog splash, but as he tried to roll back over to Angle, Angle was able to lock in the ankle lock for the win.
Match Seven: Steiner Vs Cena for the ECW title
John Cena has been trying to get revenge on Steiner since Steiner stole the TV title form him earlier this year, while at the same time he has been trying to prove he is ready to be champ. Steiner played the role of huge champion perfect in this match and kept beating Cena down. But Cena never would stay down for long. In the end, RVD still mad he didn’t win ran down to the ringside and distracted Cena allowing Steiner to hit his finisher for the win.
Backstage update:
Raw:
On raw the biggest storyline that will be playing out over the next few weeks leading into the PPV is the Shield Vs Under Rated. This has been in the plans for a while. The word is, expect singles matches this month, and possibly at survivor series seeing the two teams in a 6 man elimination tag or elimination chamber match.
Batista will be taking on Triple H in a match that will solidify him as a face. Orton is also expected to play a part, and we are hearing HBK may be brought in as well.
Under Rated is considered to have done an amazing job of making its members freshened for the audience. Ryder has been looking great, and Phoenix has impressed everyone with how great he is as the top heel on raw. It’s almost confirmed he will have the title for a while. Ziggler is the man that has also impressed a lot of backstage officials who had almost given up on him. Ziggler is also starting to get more cheers than boos, which is something that is being talked about. Ziggler could be starting a face turn soon. Miz was getting noticed but the reason he hasn’t wrestled in a few weeks is said to be a knee issue. Surgery is not required right now, but he cannot wrestle for a few more weeks as it heels.
Prime Tyme Playa’s were moved to WCW due to the feeling with as many great teams on Raw they were getting looked over. Word is they are in line for a title run.
Look for the Wyatt family to feud with taker going into the PPV. Kane might also get involved.
Edge and Jericho winning the title surprised a lot of people, but at the same time management felt like they were the right people to keep pushing the tag scene. They are expected to feud with money inc and the Uso’s soon.
Attitude
Word is Triple H is Vince’s new project. People are surprised at how different he is than on ECW but Vince loves him in this role. Triple H is expected to get a huge push.
Jericho is also expected to be pushed more as well. While Triple H has been attacking him that was more to set up the match with Razor and get the fans behind Jericho.
Punk is being set up for a face role, possibly more tweener. It’s being said that Punk may also be changing shows again as the company believes Punk is the type to be able to go anywhere and push.
Stone cold fight big show is being said as a way for him to be built back up. Expect him to be champ again sooner than later, though a match with macho is not on the books.
Speaking of Macho, so far his run has been considered great from a critical and finical stand point. It is not expected that he will drop the strap to Brock as Brock is still in the growing stage.
Diesel is expected to be the Attitude challenger to Lesnar this Sunday. Diesel missed a few weeks but is back now. There are rumors that he and Razor may end up with a tag title run. HBK however is expected to miss a few weeks after his match with Vader. He is not injured, but it is being written in that Vader will destroy HBK in the match to the Vader “monster” angle.
Undertaker might be going back to his old gimmick in a few weeks.
WCW:
Ultimate Warrior is expected to take on Lesnar and then start a renewed pushed in the next few weeks. It said he wasn’t used as much due to contract issues, but that has been ironed out.
Hogan dropping the title might suggest that he is being taken out of the NWO storyline. While it was a great run, Vince has bigger ideas. Hall and Nash are still expected to be a big part of the NWO. Hogan may go back to red and yellow, and possibly to another show.
Goldberg is said to be very satisfied with how the NWO story played out. He was willing to take the loses because he felt his wins were huge.
Ryback is back and his injury is fully healed. He along with Cesaro are two men considered to be getting huge pushes.
ECW:
The biggest news from ECW is that Vince is having second thoughts on Steiner. Vince likes Steiner, but doesn’t feel like Steiner is doing what he needs to do for ECW. Steiner may end up on WCW. Vince is having a toss-up between Angle and Cena as to who will be the next champ. Both are extremely over, but both have been pasted over that each man needs the belt.
Joker has been repackaged and is said to be in great shape. We are told that at a recent house show, his look and style were show stealing. Heyman has already made comments that Joker will go far.
Benoit was chosen to lose to Lesnar because Heyman isn’t a huge fan of someone being undefeated because most of the time the first loss doesn’t pay off. Losing to Lesnar doesn’t take anything away from Benoit, and now a storyline can be made from it.
NXT is supposed to have a bigger presence in the coming weeks.
