I tried a make up removing Glov and here is what happened!

I wear a lot of make up. I've always been honest about that.

I'm focusing on skincare on the blog at the moment due to my terrible skin issues. I've written about those in The Acne Diaries on here.  I am currently back to wearing a lot of make up as my confidence has really taken a beating. So anything I can use, trial or experience is a plus right now.

So I was curious when I was sent a make up removing Glov. I didn't really know what to think of it. Surely my mental make up would prove to be too much for this? I didn't know what to expect but I was excited to get involved.

Naturally, when I get new skincare products, I am dying to get involved as soon as possible. It was just my luck that immediately after I got the Glov, I got the flu! The last thing you feel like doing when your sick is wearing make up. So I had to wait.

I finally got my chance and I was off!

So here is the science bit:

The Glov has revolutionary hypoallergenic duel action fibres which carefully remove make up without irritating the skin. It's 30 times finer then cotton and 100 times finer then a human hair which means that the Glov can really help to remove stubborn make up.  I was happy to note that it is suitable for sensitive skin as my skin has really been quite awkward lately. There are two materials in the Glov, polyamide which absorbs the water then polyester which absorbs fat particles. The balance of the two materials means that it goes easy on the natural barrier of the skin without causing irritation.
The amount of make up it goes off!! Look at the water colour!

One of the big reasons I like the Glov is that it is environmentally friendly. I am a HUGE make up wipe hater for this reason. Using a product like this means that you can cut down on products like cleansing oils, soaps and wipes. It's quick and easy - much like the wipes are - but it doesn't leave a huge deal of mess behind. You can wash it with a little soap in warm water, leave it to dry and it's done.

I have to say, I was surprised at how easily it removed everything. It cut through everything. I wear a full coverage foundation and an even fuller cover concealer! I was a little worried about the eye make up as yet again, I wear a lot but it removed everything easily! It struggled a bit with the lashes but nothing a clean run of new water couldn't handle. I also noted that it removed my face mask last night in five seconds. I liked how easy it was to use.
The state of the glov after I removed my heavy eye make up!

I've actually really enjoyed using it. The Glov does last for about three months before it needs to be replaced. Glov Hydro Demaquillage while originally coming from Poland, is now stocked in about 40 countries including Ireland. It's going to be available in Shaw's Department Store and pharmacies. There are two types: Glov On The Go which is a more portable version and The Glove Comfort which is the one I used. They are available in white, pink and blue for €15.99 (€13.99 for the travel version)
I don't look glam while skin cleaning! Thanks to my massive fringe!!!

So overall I am quite impressed. The environmental factor is a massive plus for me as I really don't like the damage wipes, removers, microbeads are having on our earth. I also like how quick and easy it was to use. I like that I can use swipe it over my face and its done. A lot easier then fiddling with cotton wool, oils and eye make up remover.
