Birchbox Canada describes itself as:
"Five personalized beauty samples delivered right to your door each month. It’s the best way to find the products you’ll love."
(It should be noted that if you see the U.S. Birchbox - Canadian's receive different products. I hope this expands and we get access to all the products available to out American counterparts soon! I like that some boxes (such as Ipsy and Glossybox) offer the exact boxes to Canadians - I am hoping Birchbox does the same at some point!)
Here is the April 2015 Birchbox Canada:
This month Birchbox partnered with Rifle Paper Co. to make this beautiful box! I love it and need to find something to use it for - what did you guys use your box for?
Birchbox always includes a detailed product card showing what products they have included:
Here is a closer look at the goodies I received:
Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Repairing Conditioner ~ sample size 40ml for $3.81. Considering what we do to our hair on a daily basis, we’re surprised our strands haven’t staged a revolt. Keep the peace with this moisturizing conditioner. It deeply nourishes and strengthens dry, frizzy, or damaged hair, leaving it softer, smoother, and healthier looking.
I like the smell of this conditioner - I am going to save it to try on an upcoming trip!
Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Repairing Shampoo ~ sample size 60ml for $4.42. You don’t have to go to extremes to repair dry, damaged hair. In fact, when it comes to reviving your strands, gentle is your best bet. This mild cleanser uses moisturizing avocado oil and aloe vera extracts to repair and rebuild hair, leaving it smoother, softer and shinier.
This shampoo smells really good - and this month they sent a set which makes me happy!!! (although, I don't think I need shampoo 2 months in a row..). I will likely save these for the honeymoon as we aren't staying at hotels a lot and will need small packages!
BeeKind Shower Gel ~ sample size 30ml for $2.42 (full size is 8oz/236 ml for $19). Have you heard of CCD? Short for Colony Collapse Disorder, it refers to the decline of honeybee populations in Western countries, and it’s a cause for concern if you happen to rely on pollinated plants for sustenance (in other words, if you are human). Luckily, BeeKind™ is on the case, donating a portion of its proceeds to supporting honeybee research at the University of California. This richly foaming cleanser comes infused with nourishing honey, organic calendula, and not a small amount of eco-friendly good karma. So lather up, soak in the fresh lemon verbena scent, and then go ahead and pat yourself on the back.
I'm not too picky about shower gels so I will use this!
Mereadesso All-in-one Moisturizer ~ sample size 12ml for $28.80. When we first encountered the iPhone, we learned that a great all-in-one product could change our lives forever. Mèreadesso brings this principle to skincare with their simple one-step moisturizer, which also functions as a serum, primer, and eye cream. With benefits ranging from redness reduction to antiaging properties, this multitasker is tailor-made to streamline your routine, all while nourishing skin with a host of natural enzymes and antioxidants.
This is referred to as travel-size and is available in this size on Birchbox here for $28. Here is how the sample opens:
I like the big sample size and that it is reusable; however, I am not a huge fan of this opening. I would have preferred a cap at the top! But you only need a little bit so this should last a decent length of time! I am looking for a honeymoon lotion, so if this works I will consider getting one for the honeymoon!!
Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Highlighter ~ full size 4ml for $16. You have no problem gunning for what you want in life—be it a promotion at work, the skinny jeans that fit you just so, or gorgeous, radiant skin. This weightless gel highlighter makes that last part a total breeze. It’s oil-free and made with 80 percent water, which gives it an incredibly lightweight texture that also won’t clog pores. The pearlescent pigments in the formula give skin a subtle, luminous shimmer. Better still, this gel is hypoallergenic and free of mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, and sulfates.
MY first thought was that this was quite small (although you use so little highlighter that I was okay with it!) but this is full size - wow! You can see the swatch on my hand. I actually quite like this highlighter as most are white or pink based, so this offers something different which I like!
Altogether I received 5 products (1 full size) with a total value of $55.45 - this is a good value. The box had a good variety and I will use everything this month!
