Justin Bieber Runs Around NYC While Playing Pokémon Go [Video]

Justin Bieber is the latest celebrity to join the Pokémon Go craze that's currently sweeping across the country. The "Love Yourself" singer was recently seen running around near New York City's Central Park trying to capture the little digital creatures.

The 22-year-old pop star is currently in the Big Apple for his Purpose World Tour. But, on Sunday, Bieber took a break from performing for his fans to hunt down Pokémons, according to People.

Aside from the fact that he ran around Central Park with his eyes glued to his phone, another interesting aspect of the incident is that the people on the street did not recognize him. Maybe for them Bieber was just another guy going crazy in public because of Pokémon Go.

The incident was captured on video, which was then uploaded by Bieber's friend Alfredo Flores on his Instagram account.  The video of the two friends running around was also shared by Bieber's manager Scooter Braun on his social media account.

Amazingly, as Bieber and Flores ran across crowds and past people, no one recognized who he was. But that's probably because the other people seen in the video were also focused on their phones and were most likely chasing Pokémons.

Bieber is not the only celebrity that's hooked on the popular mobile game. Guitarist and singer John Mayer also spends his free time chasing after pocket monsters with his phone. Last week, the rapper Tyga was photographed playing the mobile game while he was with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner at an airport in Budapest, according to Us Magazine.

As for Bieber, he probably has a lot of time on his hands right now to play Pokemon Go since the next leg of his world tour is Japan, which will kick off on Aug. 13.
